Description
Squad Ops Hardcore is the public gameplay mod of the Squad Ops community. HC was designed by using the immersive, tactical, and teamwork-oriented foundations of our Operations to create new game modes, kits, factions, weapons, and more! At the moment, only the Invasion gamemode is fully supported, but our team will be rapidly working to bring KOTH, AAD, RAAS, and SND to a functional state.

Tactical and Teamwork-Oriented
HC makes decision-making and coordination more important than ever before! Stamina boosts, medic revive speed and heal increases, kit and stamina changes, and rally + FOB changes allow and encourage players to work as a squad to complete objectives and take down enemies. Suppression changes, a plethora of new vehicles, a broad commander system overhaul, and various other changes mean that thinking deep and moving fast are crucial to a team's success.

New Experiences
Whether it's the tactical sandbox of King of the Hill, the brutal, meter by meter grinds of Attack and Defend and Territory Capture, or the cat and mouse action of Search and Destroy, HC presents players with all sorts of new experiences! King of the Hill takes a portion of the map as the "area of operations," and makes players' own FOBs into the primary objectives, meaning you get to decide every aspect of how the game is played. Attack and Defend is a higher intensity version of Invasion, in which defenders are given time to fortify a single cap zone, and then attackers must bring their overwhelming firepower to bear in order to wipe the defenders off the map. Territory Capture is an homage to the Territory Control mode from the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series, and is an infantry focused version of invasion with adjusted spawn mechanics. Search and Destroy is our own take on insurgency, in which attackers have 90 minutes to find and eliminate a series of caches spread around the map, as well as the main hideout of the irregular combatants. Not all irregular assets need be destroyed, allowing both teams to adapt to the conditions of each round. Whether you're playing these new offerings or a more standard Squad mode, you're guaranteed a unique experience with HC mod.

Major Changes and Additions
Infantry Gameplay:
  • Stamina pool increased by 33%, stamina regen increased by 10%
  • New kits with added weaponry, such as the breacher
  • All kits now have three bandages maximum
  • Medics can revive in four seconds, non-medics in eight
  • Medics have 12 bandages instead of 9
  • Revived players start with 35% health instead of 5
  • Reduced max sway by 25% on all weapons
  • Reduced max sway for bipods by 50%
  • Suppression aimpunch increased by 25%
  • Added simple dirt trench meshes, all non-crew kits may use them to entrench anywhere on the map
  • Added ironsights/red dot options to some kits
  • Added ability for all rifles without bipods to be braced on surfaces that bipods can deploy on, with a recoil + sway reduction while braced
  • Added the optional ability to talk to the other team in local comms. This is default bound to H, and can be rebound through the custom mod keybind menu, default bound to U.
  • Added steerable parachutes, which can be activated via the right shift key while falling. The chute takes 3 seconds from successful activation to open, so the player must be at a considerable height in order to survive their fall. Helicopter parachute insertions are technically feasible, but should not be attempted from low altitude, as in real life. This key can also be rebound via the custom keys menu.
  • Instadead and dead-dead mechanics
Vehicle Gameplay:
  • Added cut content - CAS helicopters for all applicable factions
  • Added the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter to USMC
  • Added Gerry, Turtle Gerry, and Big Gerry
  • Added the infamous Kornet techie
  • Infantry AT sway temporarily reduced pending full deployment of damageable crew update
SL and Commander Gameplay:
  • Conventional artillery now 12-round barrage, ten minute cooldown
  • Conventional airstrikes have ten minute cooldown
  • Added bomb airstrikes with a 15 minute cooldown, bombs will damage players through cover
  • Conventional UAVs and Irregular drones have a ten minute duration with a two minute cooldown
  • Irregular heavy mortars have a ten minute cooldown
  • Irregular forces now have rocket barrages on a ten minute cooldown
  • All factions have smoke mortar barrages with a five minute cooldown
  • SL markers no longer show up in the first-person view of the player, only on the compass
  • SL markers no longer range to target

bug report:
US 75th in every map can not be given any damage
CAS mi-8 and CAS uh60, their rocket won't blew up while impact
character may being stuck while attempting to jump onto the vehicles
guns of 75th have some strange shape while fire
All helipads don't work at all, players need to fly their plane onto the vehicle repairing station to get repair
M-37 Satchel charge can't be placed on anything
