Ross' 10 Block and Under Machines

In my video, I set out to see how many zones could be beaten with one block - and it turns out to be more than you might think. I used several one-block machines in the video, but this is the one that put it over the top. (It appears about 13.5 minutes into the video.)

Control takes practice, but on the bright side, as a single component machine, it's completely indestructible!

Basic Control

To control the direction, you need to hit something to get the cannon spinning off-kilter. Once it's wobbling around, it will face a lot of different directions, and you thust when it's pointed the way you want to go. The more frequently you hit things (including hills, walls, breakable objects, etc.), the more the cannon wobbles, and the more options you have for movement.

A Useful Control Strategy

Another helpful strategy is to keep the cannon pointed up with quick intermittent thrusts. Depending on its current angular momentum, it will often tilt in many different directions, giving you lots of options for movement. You can see this throughout the video, including toward the end of zone 23 (which begins at around 13.5 minutes).

On Getting Stuck

Sometimes, if you get out in the open with nothing to hit, the cannon can seem to get stuck going back and forth only. But if you use the strategy in the previous paragraph, eventually the cannon should slowly start to lean in a different direction. If that doesn't work, you can get the cannon rolling, and thrust into the air. Thrust when the cannon points down to stay in the air. The cannon will drift, hopefully toward something you can hit to get the cannon spinning in different directions again.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your one block conquests!

I haven't even beaten the valfross levels. And you just do them with one block (or 2) blocks.

only Ross can do that.

Your machines are proof that with some proper presentation, you can upload literally anything to the workshop and have it get attention xD
