Personally, I absolutely adore the Bomb Ketch. Unlike the later Rocket Ship, you never know exactly what sort of damage it's going to do; shots could explode high and tear up sails, explode to the side and damage the hull, explode on the deck taking out crew, even explode inside the ship setting it alight. Rocket Ships, on the other hand, only ever set the enemy on fire, rendering them useless if you're trying to augment your fleet with captured enemies. Also, BK's come with 12 standard naval guns mounted broadside for emergencies, whereas RS's do not.
