Description
Reworks plant harvest yield and animal gather yield




Changes mechanics of plant harvest yield and animal gather yield to work similar to mining yield. Quickly edit caps for all yield-related stats in the mod settings.





Plants can fail to be harvested if the plant harvest yield stat is below 100%. In 1.2 and before, any value above 100% has no impact. In 1.3 values above 100% provide additional yield.

This mod enables additional yield above 100% for 1.2 and before while changing how values below 100% work in all versions (including 1.3). At low stat values plants provide lower yield but cannot fail to be harvested.

Animal gather yield works like plant harvest yield did before 1.3 and is changed in the same way, so they work consistently.

The max values for all yields, including butchery and mechanoid disassembly can be adjusted in the mod settings.

i have this mod but im still occasionally getting harvest failures. am i misunderstanding or should this not happen?

@Malnormalulo In vanilla, Plant Harvest Yield and Animal Gather Yield are actually Success chance (unlike mining yield) so a value of less than 100% chance causes a failure chance while a value greater than 100% does nothing.

This mod makes it so that they are actually yield %, so (for example) a 90% Yield will always yield 90% of the normal amount (instead of a 90% chance of 100% and a 10% chance for 0%) and a 120% yield means that you would always get 120% of the normal value.

I'm having a really hard time interpreting the description. It's not clear to me what sentences are describing vanilla behavior and what sentences are describing modded behavior. By my best reading, it sounds like this mod doesn't do anything for 1.3+ except prevent harvest fail? Is that right?

Can you cancel the setting of post-processing curve? For example, in the module Combat Extended, he has a processing curve for the aiming time so that it will not be lower than 50%. Could you please override and cancel it? Thank you.

I really feel for you reading these comments.

Also amusingly I am here because I tracked down a bizarre issues, I had Harvest Yield 1.3 somehow still in my list (game redownloaded it?) in my list and it was causing a lockup due to having this 1.4 version. Very common though sometimes hard to track down error. Somehow I subscribed to both at the same time. had to manually remove both and got this again, easy fix.

willing to bet that's the efffect of your other mods actually producing the numbers they add up to now that the cap is removed

Im having a problem where the mod is not working, sure got like 300% with pickaxe and skill, but still only allows 100% yield

I literally just explained it. This mod only removes the CAP at 100%. The mod settings are so you can set your own cap, if you want to avoid super high values like 800%.

This mod does NOT increase the yields by itself. It JUST allows yields to actually exceed 100%.

If i crank up the harvest rate to 500% will it make stuff yield more?

Then you haven't read the description. This mod does not increase your yield. This isn't a cheat mod. It only ALLOWS values above 100% to actually do something. Without the mod having 120% harvest yield would only give you 100% yield.

You need other things, like high plants stat, implants, bionics to increase these stats above 100%.
