1D13 0824 London Waterloo to Dorking

Description
Traction: Class 455/8
TOC: South West Trains
Route: Portsmouth Direct Line - London Waterloo to Portsmouth
Duration: 25 mins
Difficulty: Medium

The British summer has truly arrived with a heatwave surging across the country. Unfortunately this has not put the commuters in a good mood! Take the helm at 1D13 as far as Motspur Park and try to avoid upsetting them any further!

Requirements
Payware
Portsmouth Direct Line: London Waterloo - Portsmouth
Portsmouth Direct Line
South London Network
Class 444
Class 455 (Thomson version)
Class 378*
Class 159*
Class 319 (standalone version)

Reskins
DPSimulation (rfletcher)
Class 456 ‘South West Trains’
Superalbs
Class 159 ‘South Western Turbo’ DMU*
Class 319 'Thameslink'

I’ve used the original Class 450 (from the original Portsmouth Direct Line) and Class 444 in an attempt to reduce lag and increase frames! It can still get pretty choppy between Waterloo and Clapham Junction though, so you may want to turn your graphics settings down.

Requirements marked with an asterisk (*) feature fairly fleetingly and can be omitted without loss of enjoyment.

If you don’t have any of the requirements you can still play the scenario, just press F2 when the ‘Missing consist’ error comes up and click ‘cancel’ to bypass it.

Sorry to hear that jones1202, have you tried turning your graphics settings down? There's quite a lot of AI at the start so that might be the problem.

Dumped me straight out.

Excellent scenario with great AI. Yes the timetable was slightly on the tight side but that addded to the challenge posed. Very enjoyable to drive. Thank you for creating and sharing.

Oops! My first attempt ended up with a collision and derailment just before Clapham Junction. I 'tabbed' the red signal and received permission to proceed, but derailed when I hit the other train. So do not 'tab', the signal does change in time to stop at Clapham Junction on time. Although I finished the scenario successfully, I found the timetable a little tight. I guess I don't have the class 456, but F2/cancel took care of that. Very enjoyable and recommended.

Oops, I thought I'd got rid of the Thameslink 319! I'll put it in the description!

Great Scenario ! Thanks for posting. Despite there being lots of AI all ran smothly as you used the old 450s and 444s. That's clearly the way to go for AI on this route. Making sure that you have the branding packs (UKTS 30032 and 28560) installed of course ! There were a couple of requirements not mentioned above, e.g.the Thameslink 319, but that was soon sorted. Many thanks, very enjoyable. Pity we can't use the JT S8s around Wimbledon.

Thanks both, glad you enjoyed it!

Nice scenario! The timings of the AI were pretty good although when I passed some of them, they were just standing still. Also I like how despite the fact you used the old desiros, you used the new 455, since I don't really like the thomson 455. Great scenario thank you for making :2018salienpsychic:

Very enjoyable scenario. Very busy with lots going on. Liked using the flyover after Wimbledon and the slow speed limit after Clapham Junction. Thank you.
