Description
Addition for Extended Render for work you need to install it.

Settings: SpawnMenu (Q) > Utilities (tab on top right corner) > Admin > Environment

Features
  • Correct sun shadows.
  • Sun shadows control.
  • Environment lighting control.
  • Works on maps that doesn't support shadows.

Client console commands
  • r_extended_env_lighting
    - environment lighting. (def. 70)
  • r_extended_env_shadows_update_enable
    - enable/disable shadows update. 1 – on, 0 – off. (def. 1)
  • r_extended_env_shadows_hide
    - enable/disable hiding shadows in indoor entities. 1 – on, 0 – off. (def. 1)
  • r_extended_env_shadows
    - sun shadows brightness. (def. 60)

I have used this mod on maps that don't support shadows (for example my own private maps) and i can assure you it works perfectly fine. Please refrain from posting about topics you have not a single clue about.

optimization tip, for ExtendedRender.Environment:IsFoundEditSun(), don't use ents.GetAll()

Just use

return #ents.FindByClass("edit_sun") > 0

ents.FindByClass is faster than ents.GetAll since it's optimized by the cpp compiler
