Turret Spa

Here in the Turret Spa, well-behaved turrets are rewarded with relaxing baths, quiet alcoves in which to meditate, tractor-beam massages, tanning facilities, and a stream of ready test subjects eager to absorb spare bullets. Rumors of a secret cache of loving Companion Cubes are slanderous nonsense meant to tittilate the military androids. Side-effects of spa treatment may include lethal emancipation.

This is version 2.1 - Special thanks to Velexia for critical testing in the early stages.

This is very much a "choose your own difficulty level" sort of chamber ... if you puzzle out the mechanics, you can sweep it clean in no time, without any real danger to yourself (though with plenty of bullets hitting the water and the architecture)! If you want to just go commando and pick off the turrets the hard way, though, you can do that, too! The design supports several alternate solutions, has at least one amusing secret, and includes redundant "bulletproofers" to prevent locking yourself out of solutions.

Thanks, dven1! I keep meaning to do more ... now that winter weather is starting to set in, I'll probably spend a lot more time poking at projects =)

I thought the whole map was great requiring some thinking and a little portal skill. The turrets were just hard enough to be challanging but not boring like some other maps. All in all this was one fantastic map I really enjoyed solving. I'll happily try anything else you construct.

The level is designed to have many different approaches (pure think, pure reflex, lots of hybrids and variants of each), so there's no wrong way or right way as long as you find your way through :)

I really enjoyed this one although I used cubes to deflect the bullets at times - I don't know if this was the intended method!
