Description
Place these lights directly on your walls! They must be placed on an 'impassable' tile, facing a passable one. They play very nicely with all sorts of workbenches and furniture. If something happens to the wall you've placed it on, or you build a wall in front of it, the light will be destroyed.

Research requirements mirror those of the regular standing lamp. Electricity research for the regular light, and Colored Lights for the colored ones.

Light radius, power use, and steel cost are configurable through the mod configuration menu, so feel free to balance any way you wish.

Now includes an experimental Show Lit Area option. Right now it only works with the default light radius of 8, but it will show the area around the lights that will be considered lit (>30% light) by the light. It will also show the area of any nearby lights to aid you in making sure your entire room/hallway is lit. In the future I aim to make it work with any light radius.

Can be added to a saved game without issue. To remove from a save, make sure you've deconstructed all existing wall lights first. Technically you shouldn't have to, you'll just get a bunch of errors the first time you load up your save without the mod but after that it should be fine.

@TJawn you can already use wall lights so two can occupy the same wall, rotate and place down, been doing that for a bit now.

@TJawn, if I understand you right, you should be able to do that as is. You can have 4 lights on one wall, as long as they each face different directions.

This is an incredible mod and I've been using it for years. Something just struck me though... Would you consider adding some sort of "Double" wall light so that two adjacent rooms can have a wall light on the same tile? Right now I have to stagger them but having them be on the same tile would be great!

One issue I keep seeing in my games is that my people keep complaining that they don't like living in the dark so their mood goes down, yet each room has 4 lights. Power consumption is set to 1 as I have many lights, building requirement also 1 since it's just aesthetics, and radius to 10.

Curious if the game see those modified amounts as no having lights?

Btw, I don't use the colored lights as I feel the saturation should be lower as it's harder to see.

Just by the way? The update to 1.1 would be an EXCELLENT time to remove the old defs for Wall Light ((blue) OLD) &c.
