Description
Map Pack: Osnabrück Münster Bielefeld Triangle is the 6th map pack that i have created.

Before you start reading the discription or skip doing that, you should know i have started a strawpoll about what next map i should make, and a link to it can be found down below!

This map pack follows my second map making style, which includes using 1 area for 3 maps, and the use of the Cities Skylines editor as well as GIMP in order to edit the height map. This does therefor mean that this map pack includes 3 maps of of the same area, with different map sizes. This style will be abandoned after this map pack, because i found a better way to create/edit heightmaps, using the opensource programm Microdem.

This map pack focuses on an area of Germany relatively close to the Dutch border, and on the edge of the Teutoburger wald/forrest area (yes the place where Varus's Roman legions probebly got destroyed by some barbarians.....). The Teutoburger forrest is actually more of a hill range than just a forrest, and the terrain is deverse, with rolling hills, open farmland and forrest areas. as far a i know no hill in the area on the map reaches higher than 300 meters in real live. The area on the map is inbetween Münster in the Southwest, Bielefeld in the East, and Osnabrück in the North. This means that on the medium and large maps, there are rivers located on the map (mostly the river Ems/Eems). This map pack isn't focused on shipping activity though, and therefor no rivers are proberly navigatable (I think i tried on the large map but gave up after 3 times of editing the map and the rivers still being just too small).

Here follows a short description of all three of the maps:

Map Pack: Osnabrück Münster Bielefeld Triangle Small Map:
- Map size: 1025x1025
- Number of cities: 20
- Height range: 100-250

Map Pack: Osnabrück Münster Bielefeld triangle medium:
- Map size: 2049x2049
- Number of cities: 51
- Height range: 90-300

Map Pack: Osnabrück Münster Bielefeld triangle Large:
- Map size: 3073x3073
- Number of cities: 83
- Height range: 85-300

So what's next? i truely don't know..... i have a few ideas, even some maps that are pretty much already done. Posibilities that i am working on right now are: A map/map pack of Norway, a Benelux map, a map of Sicily (or a map pack of Italy). But like i said, these are only the options that i am already working on..... i am open to suggestions.... I prettymuch found an unlimited source of heightmaps, and with Microdem I am able to connect heightmap tiles, which means the range of the area on the map is also pretty much limitless.... so pretty much the whole world is a posibility!

So i decided to to something new: let you all decide what map/Map Pack i should make next. A strawpoll has been started for this, and this is the link to it: https://www.strawpoll.me/15957983

@<~Thomasio i wasn't planning any bigger map for this mod. this mod is finished. I do however have lots of other huge maps available (see "General of Rome's Map Mods" collection). I am currently working on map packs for every state/region of Germany, so I might make another map that includes the area i focused on for this mod at some point, but it isn't a priority.

Echt toll!
Wäre es möglich das du eine noch Größere Version machst?
mit mehr Möglichkeiten und noch mehr Städten?

By this point i think that everyone that wants to vote on the next map has done so..... and the amount of voters is really disappointing..... disappointing is the best word to describe everything surrounding the performance of this map pack actually, as it still, after more than a week after it's release, has not broken the 200 subscriber limmit..... anyone here that has an idea why this map map in particular performed poorly?

Now i do want to keep my word to the 5 people that did take the effort to vote on the strawpoll! 4 of you voted for the Germany Map Pack, so that is what i will be doing next. This unfortunately isn't one of the map packs that i was already working on before i released this one, which means that there is still much work to do untill this map pack will be released..... so expect it to take a while. I will be gone for 2 weeks starting the 19th of july, but hopefully i will have completed the map pack before that.

@rb58nl it pretty much is. There are two towns that are placed slightly away from their real life placement because they wouldn't be on the map otherwise, beut apart from that it is accurate (I always keep google maps open while placing the cities, so i can check the placement)

Is this an accurate map, are the cities placed, where they are supposed to be?
