Goldfish can be bought and sold at the general merchant, allowing you to convert between gold and the goldfish standard to share monetary wealth between characters.

Your goldfish are valuable and require proper care. Be sure to deposit them in your shared stash or sell them off while they're fresh before deactivating this mod. While the mod is only required to buy goldfish and you can sell them at any time, you'll find the exchange rate is slightly worse without it loaded.

Compatibility notes: This mod now offers universal compatibility with other vendor mods. It may conflict with other mods that modify fish, such as Mountains of Consumables, More Fish!, Pet and Fishing Overhaul. To use it anyway, temporarily bump it to the top, buy and sell/stash your fish, and then disable this mod.

Goldfish-fueled inflation has rendered individual coins of dubious value. A few vendors have been spotted leaving bowls of them out for their customers to help themselves as needed or to unburden their excess.

You should certainly make the fish unaffected by the Barter spell, otherwise, it allows infinite money.

Also you should add diffrent fish, like 10,000, 50,000, 100,000 1,000,000 / stackable to 99

The goldfish standard, huh? Nice.
It's an interesting idea, to be sure. Hrm, perhaps add a Platinum Fish (worth, say, 5x that of the goldfish) would make an interesting prospect for greater currency tranfers in less inventory space.

Nothing in particular, Was just looking through spawnclasses and couldn't find anything related to take a penny leave a penny. It's alright, the goldfish themselves are serving their purpose well. Thanks for putting this mod together.

In guts it will show up as merchant_general_inventory because that's the spawnclass it's being merged with. You can also edit the file directly:

Not sure if you're planning on updating this but the take a penny leave a penny files dont seem to show up for me when I try to edit the files in GUTS. I want to make some changes for personal use and not seeing these files in GUTS is making impossible to change them or confirm they work. Any idea what's wrong?

As mentioned, I expected compatibility issues with other fish mods, so I'm glad to hear you took time to integrate it to avoid this. My mod doesn't change how the goldfish spawn in the base game (they're rare but can still drop or be caught); it simply adds it to the vendor and adjusts its buy/sell value. Note that if you still wanted to include an alternate goldfish implementation you could simply clone it and change the GUID and item level which would allow both to appear without conflict. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.

Hey zParticle, just wanted to let you know that some changes I recently made to my Master Angler mod caused some compatibility issues with this one. I Just wanted to let you know that to solve the problem I went ahead and added support for the Goldfish Exchange to Master Angler.
