The Long Leap

Description
Aperture has chosen YOU to be a part of their newest science program "operation: long leap", where you play a big part in forwarding the cause of science! You'll be taken to one of the largest test chambers in stock, built in almost a year. Now, you might develop a serious case of Acrophobia during the testing, but don't worry! You'll be provided with an aperture stress relief station, designed specifically to calm your nerves. - The control group

The main focus has been it's concept, essentially a giant portal fling, but you'll also find value in exploration. This level has some nice touches to it, plenty of details, and nice graphics.

@radiosoul99 Wow, thank you for the kind message, I'm very pleased! I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, so hearing that means a lot. I love playing around with scale in games, and I've always wanted to express that sort of feeling in a level, I think it turned out great!

Also, two years already? :<

This man is incredible! I loved the scenery, and the use of custom textures and sound files really brings it all together. Even though I'm two years late, I really appreciate all the effort you've put into creating this. The easter egg message was a really fun little challenge btw :)

@wildgoosespeeder You're totally right! This is not meant to be a puzzle, and I'm sorry to hear this was a turnoff for you.

I wasn't sure what you meant by the 'WASD-mouse controls' part, as I don't believe the level to be much movement heavy. Are you referring to the part before or after entering the bottom portal? I can imagine it being difficult to weave yourself into it with a controller if you don't align yourself properly during the timer. Perhaps I can make that part more obvious?

@Tsarbuckz Yes The lever is found in the cave ontop of a pipe, you need to fling yourself to get it. Once aquired pull the lever and it will activate bouncy gel near the exit.

Not really good, but better than most Workshop submissions. I guess you can say this was really a test of your knowledge with Hammer. I'm not really fond of ninja gauntlets in the Portal universe. Those are platform-like and Portal is puzzle-like. Also, I can't really be doing WASD-mouse controls with my current desk arrangement. I use an Xbox One controller (or an XInput device) natively in Portal and Portal 2. This makes maps like this impossible for me.

Also, I see alot of people talking about a secret message behind the lift. I cant' find it though. :/

Is there a way to put the lever back on the lever pad? Or is that just for decoration?

@AdiihYT Mad strats going around it, you get a +. Also removed any doors to get stuck on for my next map
