Tae's Archery Fix (Deprecated)

Comprehensive fix to Ranged Combat with a focus on PVP. Changes most Bow and Arrow damage and Armor Pen values to be close to their respective melee weapons within their item tier.

Additionally this mod changes stack size of Javelins to 10 and Throwing Axes to 20.

I'm not even sure what that is. I haven't played CE in a few months. Last I played however, Funcom made some pretty decent changes to Archery, so this mod is mostly deprecated. The fact it still works is pretty amazing.

I haven't given up on CE, just life stuff has me doing other things.

Non-DLC Bows and Arrow damages and armor penatrations, as well as throwing axes and javelin stack sizes. Unless you're asking for a list of values, in which you can see in game using admin in singleplayer. I don't exactly have a file outside the devkit with that info on my new computer. I'm waiting for funcom to update live with the next big patch before downloading the new devkit.

I don't suppose there is anyway you could make a standalone mod for just the jav and t.axes stacks pretty please? :o

First mod update in a few months, buffs Ice-Shard Arrows and the newly added Ivory Arrows. Other specialty ammo is unchanged.

Funcom pushed a mod breaking patch today. I've had about half an hour to test the mod before needing to head out for the day, it seems fine however.

If there is any bugs, let me know. Also I will be looking into the balance needed for the new arrow types they added in. Right now they look functionally for utility minus the Ivory arrows so not much may even be needed. I'll give it a look this weekend at the latest concerning that aspect.

That wouldn't actually work. Arrow damage and Bow damage are seperate. When you attack with a bow, its like hitting with two weapons at the same time. The game doesn't simply add them together.

If it did that would have been an excellent solution.

I don't suppose it's possible to give the arrows a negative damage value? If it is, you could set it to the negative of the hunting bow's damage value minus one.

Concerning a possible Blunt Arrow fix, it appears that there is not an elegant solution to fix this. So I tried doubling the concussive damage. Without any accuracy, the damage was just barely more lethal than not against Black Hand NPCs. However against Forgotten Tribe and Votarie, it was pretty OP.

The solution I can come up with is to reduce the concussive damage back to normal, make a new bow item with 0 or 1 damage (not sure if 0 dmg weapons cause issues or not) and let people pair that bow with blunted arrows.

I'm at a sort of impasse in whether or not I wish to add a new item to the game with this mod. The scope was only to edit existing assets. However if anyone would like to make a mod (or has one) that adds such a bow. Just add that mod under mine in the modlist and it should work.
