Westerado Wilderness [.18]

Westerado Wilderness aims to alter biomes to achieve a more western-themed feel to the game, without compromising the balance of vanilla Rimworld.

Makes alteration to biomes to give the game more of a western theme
Arid areas have arid grass and bushes, making them feel warmer
Some vanilla plants now have flowering versions of them
Forests are now generally more lucious and wild
Arid and cold areas are now more hostile to settlement
Biggest alterations to: Boreal Forests, Arid Shrubland, Deserts

We're also planning on releasing future content updates!

Got any questions? Ask them in the comments and we'll answer them when we can. Got any suggestions? Feel free to post them in the aptly named forum post (helps us keep suggestions in one place), and we'll respond as to the suggestion's feasibility when we can.

We suggest using all the add-ons, but only Westerado Provisions is required.

Mod loading order
Westerado Wilderness should be loaded after Westerado (Core) and Westerado Provisions. Something like:
  • Westerado
  • (Westerado Gunslinger)
  • Westerado Provisions
  • Westerado Wilderness

Should be compatible with anything that Westerado (Core) is compatible with. Things that could cause problems:
  • Mods that radically change vanilla biomes

Have you found a compatibility issue? Please inform us in the comments and we'll try to patch it when we can! Make sure to include a list of mods you've used and any potential error messages.

By only looking at the description of that mod I would say a cautious 'yes'. However it depends a little bit on the details of how that mod is made. At the moment we're busy working on the next update to Westerado but if you want you can just try it out and report any issues you have and we'll patch it when we have time.

Does this work with natures pretty sweet?

You shouldn't be noticing any difference. Maybe 2-3 fps if you set the map tile size to the largest?

Honestly haven't measured, but I'd assume it would. Should be tiny on any decent rig though.
