Hold The Flag Lakeside

TL;DR: Read the description.

The Workshop upload is currently at version 2. For more up-to-date news and posts, please see the GameBanana page at the following URL:

HTF Lakeside (htf_lakeside_v2) is a major step-up from my previous attempt of making the Hold The Flag (King of the Flag) gamemode, HTF Harvest. This Hold The Flag map conversion keeps health and ammo packs in the map, and completely removes hard-to-reach or campy areas rather than simply opening them up. Not to mention there are now fewer entities on the map, making it less likely to stop working.

There is a neutral flag in the middle of the map that activates 30 seconds into a game, and each team has the goal of having possession of the flag for a total of 2 minutes between their players. As soon as the flag is dropped, it becomes neutral again, though it cannot be picked up by the dropping team for a few seconds. After 10 seconds of not being touched, the flag returns to its original position. Spawns are mostly randomised to prevent flag-camping.

As far as server requirements go, there aren't really any. You're free to tell me of one if you happen to find it.

Initial map design by Valentin "ElectroSheep" Levillain. All textures and models belong to Valve Corporation. Hold The Flag gamemode and modifications made to suit the gamemode by Jack (Jack5) Stringer.

Did you base this from Halo's Oddball? Because they're basically the same concept except you don't get vulnerable when holding the flag on this one.

Oddball works well in Halo, but with this? Not so sure, what with sentry nests and turtling, but I would love to see it happen nonetheless! Sounds like great fun!
