I use mushroom snail regularly, so I've got practice with its uses.
Neverending Focus - 8/11 Ditch Quick Focus (-3) in Prismatic Focus (11/11); takes more time to focus, but nonetheless allows you to keep healing yourself for as long as you need to; great for attempting difficult platforming sections where you might need a fair amount of tries and don't want to keep backtracking to/from a bench
Protected Focus - 10/11 Replace Quick Focus (-3) in Prismatic Focus with Baldur Shell (+2) in Prismatic Focus (11/11); focusing might take longer, but at least you're protected when doing so
Fungal Focus - 9/11 Replace Quick Focus (-3) in Prismatic Focus with Spore Shroom (+1) in Prismatic Focus (11/11); focusing might take longer, but at least you're causing some damage to anyone daring to come close whilst doing so (plus some afterwards)
Wokelock - 10/11 Be less dreamy by ditching Dream Wielder (-1) in Warlock (11/11) for smaller dreamshield and slower & less powerful dreamnail
Slowlock - 10/11 Be slower and have less aggressive weaverlings by ditching Sprintmaster (-1) in Warlock (11/11)
Warlock Apprentice - 9/11 Ditch both Dream Wielder (-1) and Sprintmaster (-1) in Warlock (11/11) making you slower and less dreamy
Battle Mage Apprentice - 9/11 Ditch Soul Catcher (-2) in Battle Mage (11/11); you'll need to hit with your nail a bit more often, but still can get soul fairly quickly to cast spells
Battle Mage Novice - 7/11 Ditch Soul Eater (-4) in Battle Mage (11/11); still quite reliant on a lot of battling with an occasional ability to cast powerful spells
[...]
also, some downgrades from some of the strong charm combinations for those who don't have the required charms or notches yet, or even because you want to free up 1 or 2 charm notches for something else:
Paladin Apprentice - 10/11 Replace Mark of Pride (-3) with Long Nail (+2) in Paladin (11/11) at reduced range
Samurai Apprentice - 10/11 Replace Mark of Pride (-3) with Long Nail (+2) in Samurai (11/11) at reduced range
