I didn't know about this developer, nor this game prior to the Kotaku article.
I probably will buy this game due to the genius that was them releasing a "bugged" version of their game on torrent. The sad thing is, most people who pirated the game probably had the irony fly right over their heads.

Support indie devs. They're tomorrow's AAA designers.

Didn't know about the game before the kotaku-article but love this type of games. And I do playfully appreciate the hint probably not many pirates got :D

I've played the iOS version of GDS over a year ago. If I heard about this game on its own, I probably would have passed on it. But then I read the Kotaku about what the game devs did for the piracy demographic and LOVE IT! If this hits steam, it's a buy from me. That's awesome!

Purchased and Greenlit after reading about the easter egg. If anything, it's a great way to get publicity. Good luck!

Hahaha people find all kinds of ways to justify pirating this game. The mind is truly amazing.
It's 8 bucks, seriously, buy it if you plan on playing it.

the piracy easter egg makes me just want to pirate the game and wait for someone to post a patch that removes the annoying message (hex-value hacking like the oldschool days!)

when it's greenlit, I'll buy it.

also, it reminds me of Game Dev Story from Kairo Soft, available on android. really cool stuff

how can we tell how well this is doing on greenlight?
