Description





The Sangheili, known to humans as Elites, are a saurian species of strong, proud, and intelligent warriors, as well as skilled combat tacticians. The Sangheili are named after their home planet, Sanghelios. Due to their skill in combat, the Sangheili have formed the military backbone of the Covenant for almost the entirety of its existence. They had a very strong rivalry with the Jiralhanae, which finally boiled over into open hatred during the Great Schism, and the conclusion of the Human-Covenant war.

(26/2/2018) Update 1.0.0:

Featuring:
The proud and noble race of Sangheili, otherwise known as the "Elites" are now under your command.

Although I'm not as good as Kexx, I did managed to get some form of facial animation in, although it's quite minimal, but noticeable.

Added iconic armor sets such as:
H2A Arbiter
H2A Elite Minor
Halo 5 Arbiter Kaidon

(Shoulder, Helmet and Thighs only)
Reach Ranger
Reach Spec Ops
Reach Ultra

Beware of invisible head.
Also.
Do take note that the models need to go through a major mesh shifting for it to fit the XCOM 2 rigs. If you notice why the Elites looks shorter or more "Human", this is the reason.

The assets used in the mod belongs to 343 industries and Microsoft studios, they are extracted from the game Killer Instinct, Halo 5 and Halo Reach, without offical permisson. I will not take a single cent nor any donation as this mod is used for non-commerical uses only. (Please do not send your death squad over, I'm just some dude who loves Halo.)




Although I do not have the exact date of when these updates will be lives, I do roughly have a list of what will be coming.

Q: When will [Insert Elite name/gear] come?
A: Maybe, though you shouldn't count on it.

Q: The (obligatory) question: Will you make convenant weapon?
A: No.

Q: wtf man halo sux, and thiss mod isnt lore friendly.
A: Ignoring mods is hard.

Q: When will do [Insert Request] ?
A: Probably not.

Q: Have you completely abandoned us Legacy players only?
A: Probably

Q: When will the legacy version come out?
A: I'm having issues with the XCOM dev tool, which made it impossible for me to backport this from WOTC to Vanilla. I'll eventually find a way. I think.

TLDR: Yes, but not soon.

Q: What is the planned updates?
A: Check out the suggestion discussion or any of the pinned thread, I want to get this done as fast as I can with quality control of course.

Q: Can I use this mod to make my own custom Elites or pluck one of the assets for my own mods?
A: Generally, I'd like it if you ask me first, or at the very least credit the proper people. But what can I do to stop you?I'm just a bunch of sentences in a description.

Q: Will heros be able to use the Elites customization options?
A: Should be, if there's anything wrong just head over to the bug report discussion.





Kexx:
This ♥♥♥♥ing guy I swear. I asked him for advice, but instead he gave me a 47 minutes tutorial stream on where to begin, seriously, nicest porter/modder out there in our community. I also used some of his materials which I shamelessly stole used as reference. I wouldn't have attempted to port the elites over were it not for him.

Ehh you think anyone would do that? To be a hero backport all the wotc for the sake of lazy porters out there? Ha, yea that sounds like way too much work.

they wont. stop asking. instead maybe ask if you can get permission to port it to legacy yourself though given how the mod works, legacy wouldn't work. there are additional customization slots in wotc that are utilized by this mod. so to make it work for legacy he'd have to merge meshes and reconfigure for a more restrictive system. aside from that modding for legacy was a giant pain in the backend.

It wasn't this mod. It was advanced assault rifles. I wish there was one that worked now or at least XM8 standalone. Thanks for the people that helped?

i highly doubt this is causing your game to crash as it's purely cosmetic. unless you dont have War Of The Chosen.
