Mega Dots

This map consists of ...

22 small "one town" starting islands loaded with resources. These are where all the civs start. These islands have every strategic resource and every luxury. Totally surrounded by crabs for food too. Tip: you can squeeze an extra town onto your starting island I have been told. Just re-position your settler.

5 medium "three town" mega islands. These will always be empty at the start of the game. They are almost as loaded as the starting islands.

7 large "six town" food islands with a natural wonder at the center. The city states start here. There were 42 corners available on the 7 large islands and the game can put a total of 41 city states onto a map. I call them food islands because there are no luxuries or strategic resources here. Tons of food though. Cattle, sheep, deer and fish galore. The natural wonders at the center will not be in your city's control zone if you found your town on the coast. You must choose... Ocean or wonder.

As usual, the civfanatics link for you Mac users to get the map is here[].

I used this Map as an Inspiration for a Map I made. It's smaller (12 Civs and 24 Citystates) but the starter Islands are nearly the same... I made it because on this huge Map the game crashes after turn 250 and I would like to upload it with a link to this Map, but wanted to ask if this is OK with you, since you came up with this Idea.
Anyway: Thank you for making such a great Map!

more resources, ruins, and probly with land in each corner would fix up to a great map.

So, we have found an imbalance in the map. The two starter dots on the lower left hand side have marble. Also, the only middle sized island that has marble as well is in the upper left. This strongly advantageous any civ that gets that lucky and can be a wonder power house without working for it.

Well I saw that other maps were marked as Gods and Kings or not, so I didn't know if certain maps required it. I tried the map (very fun by the way), and it worked fine without the expansion.
On an unrelated note, I think you should add some resources to the coast and ocean tiles, as well as make resources on each island more sparse and varied. Like add a couple gem resources and gold, and maybe some other resources to one island and have another island only have silk, dyes, and cotton. It would make conquering other islands or trading with other civilizations more of a necessity. As it is, you could easily claim two or three islands and have every single resource available in the game. Just a thought.

It is just a map. I do not see any reason why the map would care whether it is the expansion pack or not. If it matters I had G&K installed art the time I made this map, but the map making program is totally separate from the game. It never asked me if the map was going to be for G&K or not when I made it or uploaded it either.

Does this require Gods and Kings?
