Last Days Commander Set

This is a set of replacement commanders themed around the end of the war. There's one per faction. To use these commanders, select the Armor Company, Overwatch Doctrine, Royal Engineer Regiment, Assault Support Doctrine, or Counterattack Tactics- they have been modified into these new commanders.

Leading Element Company (Armor)-
0 Easy 8
0 WC56 Command Car- an unarmed, slightly faster version of the WC51 that can capture points and pick up Supply Drop boxes. Gains vet from sharing, and by capturing points. Gains kubel Detection at vet 3. 125mp, 5fu.
3 Final Push- infantry captures points 2x as fast and receives 75% accuracy in friendly territory for 45 seconds. 70mu.
3 Supply Drop- copy/pasted from Wehr
6 P-47 Strafing Run- cost lowered to 100mu.

Last Ditch Doctrine (Overwatch)-
1 Early Warning
1 Desperation- allows volks to build Reinforcement Tunnels, which are camouflaged and work out of supply. 180mp, 20fu. Also unlocks the Last Ditch Volks upgrade, which gives back 40mp, reduces reinforcement cost and time by 20%, decreases pop by 1, takes away weapon 1 slot, and increases received accuracy by .15.
4 Tankbusters- a special version of Obersoldaten armed with 2 panzerschrecks. The suppressive fire ability was also replaced by the penal squad's homing satchel. 480mp, 40 per man.
6 Recoup Losses- a restored ability that returns 60% of the manpower value of soldier lost. Lasts for 30 seconds. 60mu.
8 PAK43 88mm cannon

Strategic Manoeuvre Regiment (Royal Engineer)-
0 Radio Intercept- copy/pasted from Soviets
2 Assault Section- an Infantry Section that doesn't have out-of-cover penalites. Equipped with a Tommy gun, Enfields with fewer movement penalties, and No. 77 WP Grenades for both smokescreen and anti-garrison use. Can fire Bren guns while moving. 320mp, 32 per man.
2 ML 4.2 Inch Mortar- mostly copied from the Soviets' HM-38 120mm, but with slightly smaller and faster shells. 340mp.
5 Stuart Mk. VI- similar to the USF Stuart. Includes the canister shot ability. 270mp, 70fu.
12 Strafing Support

Ostfront Survival Doctrine (Assault Support)- WIP; LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK AND IDEAS
0 Panther Ausf. G- a Panther which is slower, better armored, can switch to HE ammo, and can be upgraded with a commander.
1 Sdkfz 251/8 Medical Halftrack- the 251, but with no flame projectors, and has a healing aura like the USF ambulance. 250mp, 30fu. At BP3, can be upgraded with a Retreat Point for 150mp.
2 Festungspionners- an upgrade for pioneers that adds 2 AT Rifles, faster repair, and lowers received damage by 10% and accuracy by 15%. MP40s replaced with K98ks. 60mu.
3 Observation- infantry sight, detection, and weapon ranges are increased for 45 seconds. 30mu.
4 Stuka Smoke Bombs

Glorious Offensive Tactics (Counterattack)-
0 Tank Desant- T34/76s are replaced with a version that can carry one squad of infantry. The capture vet bonus is replaced with a toggle that increases speed at the expense of firepower.
1 Engineer Salvage Kits- an upgrade for Combat Engineers that allows salvaging and adds a shock trooper to the squad. 40mp.
2 Advanced Infantry Weapons- Conscripts can receive F1 grenades and M44 carbiness with good moving accuracy. Penal Troops may once again upgrade to have flamethrowers, though they also get 2 PPSh-41s.
8 B4 Howitzer - Improved!
12 Zeroing Artillery- copy/pasted from OKW

As a little bonus, Rangers now have (improved) M1 Garands and modified vet rewards. This is to make them more different from the nearly identical Paratroopers. They are now better at range and focus more on weapon pickups than grenades.

I did my best to balance everything, but any feedback on that front is welcome. Also, let me know if you have any ideas for themed commanders!

Hey dude, thanks for the headsup on the forums. Can you do me a favor and please replace the Stuart in your British Commander with an M10 Achilles similar to the All Units mod so we can test out the idea in practice? I'm also starting to really love your suggestion of the 4.2 inch mortar now that I think about it more. Cheers and have a nice day.

CaptHyatt- to use the mod, you need to make a custom game and select the mod under the "tuning pack" section. Only one tuning pack type mod can be active at a time, so nothing should interfere.

Are there any other mods that would interfere with this specific one working? Doesn't seem to alter the commanders, even though it's shown as downloaded in the mod hub.

The Soviet commander is ready! I ended up reusing more abilities than I planned to, though.

It will be! I have a red army commander concept I'm pretty happy with, but it'll take a while to implement since 4 of the 5 abilities will be new.
