Description
This mod adds an EMD GP9 with Conrail liveries:

- Black and White Livery
- Blue and White Livery

The EMD GP9 is a four-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division in the United States, and General Motors Diesel in Canada between January 1954 and August 1963. The GP9 series found enormous success and became one of the most successful diesel locomotives ever built.

When Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) was created in 1974, it inherited many EMD GP9s from northeastern railroads that had gone bankrupt between 1967 and 1972. These units were renumbered in the 7000-7512 series.

In 1997, Conrail was aquired by Norfolk Southern and CSX Corporation through a joint stock purchase, and the assets were split between them.

Technical Details:
- Max Speed: 65 mph (105 kph)
- Power: 1,740 horsepower (1,300 kW)
- Tractive Effort: 64,750 lbf (288 kN)
- Weight: 259,500 lb (117,000 kg)
- Availability: 1974-1997
- Cost: determined by game

Notes:
- This mod adds new vehicles to the game without altering anything currently existing in the game.
- This is a repaint of Urban Games EMD GP9. Without model rework, there may be some inaccuracies.
- There are several variations on the Conrail livery. These are based off two photos of the same engine. I can't determine when each paint scheme was used, so I set availability for both engines from 1974 (creation of Conrail) to 1997 (when Conrail was aquired by Norfolk Southern and CSX).

Known Issues:
- The in-cab camera points backwards. This is to do with original model being oriented long hood forward.
- The multi-unit icon shows everything on 2nd unit backwards, including logos and wording. This is because game is using only one icon image and flipping it for the 2nd unit.
- Adding a custom color to unit may look strange. This is because custom colors are not intended, yet that feature wasn't disabled in this mod.

Dislaimer:
Use this mod at your own risk. I accept no responsibility for damages to software or hardware.

@Lipinski14D - I appreciate the request, but I already did ATSF as a GP-7.

I did so because doing it properly as a GP-9 would likely require modeling work which I am not good at. From my research, many of their GP-9's had dynamic brakes or steam generators on top. Later, most had the front hood lowered and cab reconfigured for better visibility.

With so many other mods on my To-Do list, I don't see myself doing an ATSF GP-9 any time soon. Perhaps someone else will pick up the challenge.
