Friendly Dragons v1.2

Description
Ever wanted a game where you didn't want dragon's harassing you or your NPC's be it in town or otherwise? This simple mod does so! Whether you are a dragon lover or just wish to avoid alot of those annoyances with dragon in the game, this mod may help!

Be it for atmosphere or avoiding annoyances, this simple mod makes dragons seem like just another occurance around in Skyrim. Of course like any creature they still need to hunt. Animals, bandits and other foes are still subject to attack like normal.

<<--FEATURES-->>
Dragons will no longer aggressively attack you or your followers on sight.
Dragons over towns will not attack civilians, merchants, guards or some neutral/friendly factions.
Bandits and other commonly hostile encounters are still also targets for roaming dragons to attack.
Animals (Pred or Prey) are also subject to being hunted.
Dragons will not attack your mounts.
Attacking a Dragon may invoke hostile actions towards you, like any npc likely would.
Dragons are not immortal. They can still be killed and attacked to collect dragon souls as normal.

Works great with mods like 'Dragon Nests' and AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks)

--Known Bugs--
Reports of the Mod not working in some instances. To be investigated.
Dragon Nests Mod - Death Dragons are still hostile.
<<- (This is due to the settings of the dragon itself in that mod. Might do an external fix.)
Durnehviir is not hostile, needs to be set like Mirmulnir for Story.
<<- (Dawnguard expansion issue, will likely create a tool counter instead of version drifting.)

--Changelog--
v1.1 - Made Mirmulnir hostile for continuing the Story purposes.
v1.1a - Made some adjustments to some towns still being targeted by dragons.
v1.2 - Made Sahloknir hostile for continuing the Story purposes.

<<--F.A.Q-->>
Q: Will this affect the beginning cutscene of the game?
A: No, the dragon there is scripted and at the highest hostility.

Q: What about the fight with Mirmulnir and Sahloknir?
A: They are hostile only to allow advancing the Story. (Added with v1.1 and v1.2)

My first attempt at a mod. As simple in structure as it is, I decided to take this route of making a mod for such a setting rather than having to resort to the ever flawed console to only gain partially of what I wanted. This allowed me to run a seamless game without having to pop up the console every time I wanted to fix something to make it work. Hopefully others will enjoy the tweak as well. Figure I'd share it for those who might be interested.

@Celestia(L)_kaligo Unfortunately, if I remember how it works prior; all I did was make changes to the 'faction' the dragons belonged to which affected their hostility. So, changing it for one changes them all.

The only exception was the story/special dragons since they were technically separate 'factions' in the code. This is also why modded dragons are typically unaffected by this mod.

There are ways to execute commands in game to change hostility; it's actually how I came to create this mod in the first place. Might be something to look into!
Sorry I cannot assist with more to help.

Could you create a version of this mod that allows some dragons to be friendly and not all of them??

you need to start a new game for it to work

Ooooookay, after turning it on after killing Alduin, the first dragon I encountered aggroed. So it would appear it doesn't work.

Oooo, this mod is PERFECT for the following reason:

*Kills Alduin, returns to the Mortal Plane*
"I'm the Overlord of Dragons now!"

And it goes with the lore of a fanfic I'm writing! :D

Do not install if you ever want the dragons to be hostile again. Without dragonrend, trying to aggro a dragon is very difficult, and sometimes a bow hit won't aggro them at all, allowing them to just decide they're bored and f off to lands unknown.

Hey Talonblaze, any ideas if your mod works with SSE/SVR?
Dragon Protector Jan 27, 2018 @ 10:57am
I believe the only true fix is start new save?
