Show hair for all hats.

Select which hats do hide hair from Mod Settings.

Hide All Hats from Mod Settings

Will work with mods that add new hats

Supports current saves and can be removed without breaking saves

How the mod works
This mod only tells the game when hat/hair will be drawn. If hair is being drawn in front of hats, look elsewhere as this mod in no way changes the "depth" on which either is rendered.

Supports current saves and should work with all hats added by mods.


When changing whether a hat hides hair, if a pawn is wearing that hat their portrait will not update until they change something (like remove/put back on the hat).

- get Dubs Apparel Tweaks
- open settings and toggle hair visibility
- enable Alternate Hair draw mode
- change Hair Layer Offset to -0.002

Supported Mods;
Any mod that adds hair styles
Humanoid Alien Races 2.0
NewRatkin+ (must be after this mod in load order)
NAL Facial Animations: disable "draw eyebrows over hat" in that mod's settings
Gradient Hair: Disable "Don't Shave Your Hair" in this mod's menu to get gradient hair to work.

Vanilla Expanded Framework (VEF): (Thanks Sleepy068)
- Ensure VEF is near the top of the load order, this is actually recommended for this mod.
- Ensure VEF is above EPOE if you use it.
- Ensure VEF is below Save Our Ship 2 if you use it.
- Disable Texture Caching in its mod settings

- FCP Institute and Railroad Teaser
- Combat Extended
- Vanilla Expanded Pirates
- Any race based off Garam
- NL Facial Animation

For anyone still asking about CE support - there is none. I will not tolerate demands to support CE and I will delete all further CE comments. This mod has never actively supported CE and if, by chance, it worked with CE that was only coincidence. If anyone who wants to update the CE code to support this mod, they can. If anyone finds a way to add CE support to this mod, make a PR on this mod's github page and I'll review/include those changes. Beyond that there will not be support for CE.

Took me a good 10 minutes to realize "Only Draft Show/Hide Hair" means "Only show hat when drafted (and show/hide hair)" and not "Only show/hide hair when drafted". Maybe renaming the options to "Show/Hide Hair (Only Drafted)" would make it clearer.

Really appreciate the new updates, specially the hat icons and the "only drafted" options! Thank you for updates!

Update:
Changed how Hat actions are selected and many more options!
For each Hat the following logic can be applied:
- Show Hair
- Hide Hat
- Hide Hair
- Draft Only Show Hair
- Draft Only Hide Hair

Is it possible to set each of the hats draft-only or not? Like helmets should be draft-only while top hats are not

NRE for pawns without a faction. For example when you banish them.
Exception caught at:

Error rendering pawn portrait: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Verse.PawnRenderer:RenderCache
but i'm sure it throws later in this mod's patch. As removing the mod stops NRE.

Update:
Now includes hairs from "Don't Shave Your Head" - https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=36597.0

A new setting has been added to enable "Don't Shave Your Head" (DSYH) hairs. It is enabled by default.

When enabled, If a hair override is found and is applicable in DSYH then that hair will be used. If no hair is found, the original hair model is used.

Does this mod work with ideology? It seems to hide almost all hats, but not the "visage mask" . I don't have any other mods that should be affecting hair/beards so I'm not sure what the issue here is...
I love this mod! Just wish I could figure out why it isn't working any more
