Handles badly on ovals

Such great Cars. I really hope this gets patched soon or passed on to someone who can fix the Powershift. Until then I'll keep getting my CART fix from AMS.
Still a really good mod it just desperately needs the sequential powershift to be complete.

Generally a great mod, but like most rF1 conversions, the tire physics have no margin of reserve to drive the cars at the edge. Not that the rF1 version was much better. I made a "private copy" version with more realistic tire physics but still like the ChampCar 2005/6 series by iDT the best.

Mod only runs the road courses well. Ovals are a trainwreck for some reason, this is not with just the oval spec, all of the cars do it to a certain degree when placed on an oval. I attempted to figure it out (I did the AWOR 08 mod for rFactor 1), but I've been out of the code way too long to decypher.

Is there something I am missing about driving these on ovals? Its like the wheel falls over and immediately spins

I read in the s397 forum that for proper sequential shifting you need to have auto clutch on at this point. In the meantime I have an anachronistic solution of using full h-style shifting with my G27 which helps eliminate the snap oversteer. I also advise you set up your differential setting FIRST. Try power at 25-30 depending on your preferences on acceleration and start off with coast at 40-45 and gradually take it down by a few percent until you're confortable. I also read in the forums that weight distribution is your friend. The real cars had jackers for adjusting the balance in car IIRC.
