I like the original rF1 personally. I am expecting this MOD, but I am not familiar with steering.

I read in the s397 forum that for proper sequential shifting you need to have auto clutch on at this point. In the meantime I have an anachronistic solution of using full h-style shifting with my G27 which helps eliminate the snap oversteer. I also advise you set up your differential setting FIRST. Try power at 25-30 depending on your preferences on acceleration and start off with coast at 40-45 and gradually take it down by a few percent until you're confortable. I also read in the forums that weight distribution is your friend. The real cars had jackers for adjusting the balance in car IIRC.

Hey, Stinky. This should help greatly. The mod has admitted no reliable steps yet. This Studio 397 thread is great and discusses the snap oversteer issue. Use the setup on post #185 of this thread on page 10. You also have to edit your controller.JSON for the trans to work correctly in this mode for now.

And to make sure we comp[are apples to apples, I am on this mod at SCES Road America v1.42. I'm using a G27 on USB 2.0 drivers. Logitech Profiler is set to 100 stength with a 30 percent centering spring enabled. I loaded RF2s G27 profile and the only adjust was to to up smoothing to 25 to eliminate G27 grind.

You can now stay flat upshifting as you should with out that shock and late braking is incredible Loads of lateral grip, especially at the Carousel Turn 8. FFB is incredible through here. You know exactly what the car is doing. It's so good I'm deleting RF1.

I love that this mod was finally converted to this game. I love this sim.

But this mod needs work. I am usually down for a challenge, but this is just undriveable. I've tried to make the tightest setup I could and still spin. Gas brake, blipping and multiple other techniques cannot help how out of control this thing is.

It's kinda sad.

Add some tire grip possibly.

Rogger.....make sure "All Cars and Tracks" is selected in "Series" then click on "Accept". Now go to "Vehicle" selection and choose "CART1998" and which car you want to drive. Good luck!
