Description
This is a port of GrimyBunyip's "Grimy's Loot Mod" for WOTC.

As Grimy is no longer modding for XCOM 2 and has given permission for others to use his assets as long as they give credit to him, that is what this is. Thanks, Grimy!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
--This mod adds a *disgusting* amount of weapon upgrades to the game. That is the end of this important note.

Known Issues:
Barrier doesn't have a projectile for its animation
Sidearm holsters get attached to melee weapons pulled from loot boxes, but can't be applied to them in the Armory (may apply to other secondary weapon upgrades as well)

Current Development Status
Minor bug fixes

-----------

This mod adds Diablo Style Loot to the game.

Lockboxes are opened with research.
Lockboxes contain items already filled with randomized upgrades.
Higher tier lockboxes won't appear until later into the game.

Includes
96 new upgrades for primary weapons
81 new upgrades for armors
45 new upgrades for pistols
45 new upgrades for swords
87 new upgrades for gremlins
45 new upgrades for psi amps
45 new upgrades for grenade launchers
Controller support for the loot box item selection screen

Expansion Packs
Alien Rulers Expansion
PCS Expansion

----------

Balance Thoughts:

Supply/Intel rewards are not as relevant in the lategame. This mod helps offset that

Epic and Legendary Tier upgrades don't drop until the mid and late game, but are intentionally very powerful. Legendary tier upgrades are around as powerful as colonel level perks.

----------

Compatibility:

By overwhelming request, this mod is fully compatible with Loot Pinatas.

Known incompatibilities:
Configure Upgrade Slots- only one of the mods’ UIArmory_WeaponUpgrade classes will fire, so either you have your configured slot count or the number that this mod sets for individual items. Can’t have both.

Source Overrides:
X2Item_DefaultSchematics
UIArmory_WeaponUpgrade
UIArmory_LoadoutItemTooltip
UIBlackMarket_Sell

Includes MCM Support

Drop table Overrides:
BlackMarketLoot_01, BlackMarketLoot_02, BlackMarketLoot_03
BasicWeaponUpgrades, AdvancedWeaponUpgrades, SuperiorWeaponUpgrades
ADVENTEarlyTimedLoot, ADVENTMidTimedLoot, ADVENTLateTimedLoot
EarlyAlienWeaponUpgrades, MidAlienWeaponUpgrades, LateAlienWeaponUpgrades

----------

Console Commands
GiveItemNickname(string SoldierName, string Nickname, string HexColor, int SlotNum)
Use to give an item a colored nickname
Soldier Name - "Firstname Lastname", capitalization matters!
Nickname - New nickname for your item
Hexcolor - New color for item name
SlotNum - 1 = armor, 2 = primary, 3 = secondary, 4 = heavy, 5 = utility, 9 = grenade, 10 = sim, 11 = ammo

UpgradeItemsForSchematic(string SchematicName)
You can use this to force any items to upgrade.
Example: UpgradeItemsForSchematic AssaultRifle_BM_Schematic

GrimyLootUpdateResearch
Use in case you can't see your research

GrimyLootBuildLootStoreFromHistory
Adds Update 20 features to gear obtained from loot boxes before Update 20. Fixes the "Obtain Continent Bonus To Unlock" issue keeping you from accessing all of your gear attachments/upgrades.

FAQ:
Q - Do I need to start a new campaign, or can I use it with my existing campaign?
A - It's up to you. If you use it with your existing campaign, you'll need to use the GrimyLootUpdateResearch console command after you pick up your first lockbox.

Q - How do I add weapons/armors from other mods to the lockbox drops?
A - Please give this link to the author of the other mod if that mod doesn't already add their items to my loot mod automatically.
You can also edit the INI yourself to add new items to lockbox drops as well.

Q - How do I attach upgrades to sidearms and armor?
A - You will need all the required mods, listed in the required mods section

Q - How do I get randomized appearances for sidearms?
A - You need a highlander mod that supports it. I don't know if WOTCCommunityHighlander supports it, as I do not use that mod. You can try it.

Q - I'm not getting any drops!
A - Try deleting your config folder:
\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config

Q - I'm still not getting any drops!
A - You have another mod that is modifying the loot drop tables and is being loaded before this one. Delete your Config folder again and also uninstall any mods that modify the loot tables.

Q - Some of my weapons' upgrades are locked. Something about 'Obtain Continent Bonus To Unlock'?
A - Read the mod description. Oh, wait, this IS the mod description. Use the console command GrimyLootBuildLootStoreFromHistory

Q - How do I change drop rates and other settings?
A - You can find the relevant ini files in the following directory:
\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1142377029

Q - Why are my swords showing +20/100 aim?
A - Not caused by this mod, probably caused by balanced ranger swords or something else in your load order.

Q - I'm getting so much more / so much less loot now, please fix!
A - This mod doesn't alter drop rates of vanilla items. Either another mod is doing that or it's just RNG.

Q - I can't open my loot crates!
A - Use the GrimyLootUpdateResearch console command.
No it doesn't disable your achievements.

Q - Your translations for the WotC items are terrible!
A - I only speak English and bad Spanish. If you would like to translate them better, I would love for you to do so. Also, if you play in languages other than the ones so far translated (Russian, Korean, French) I would love for you to do translations.

Q - I'm crashing at mission end!
A - Not anymore, you're not! (Actually, if you still are, please tell me. Those should've been fixed completely.)

Q - I'm crashing somewhere else other than mission end!
A - Excellent! Or, rather, not so excellent. Please post details in the comment section, and I'll reply when I'm able.

Hi Ginger.
I appreciate all the work you've done on porting and fixing these mods, and am hopeful to see what your separate mod will look like. Good luck with it.

I think my install is running fine..

Question if I may, the suppressor; X% to aim and crit while not visible.
Does this mean the soldier needs to be "in concealment" or will this function as long as the enemy has no line of sight with the shooter?

And really enjoying the mod. I hate what has happened to the xcom games and this mods makes it much more enjoyable. :)

Honestly there are so many damn problems with this mod. It’s just a complete mess, code-wise. It worked great back in vanilla when there were few mods to be compatible with, but now, years later, it’s falling apart at the seams.

I’m probably not going to update this mod anymore. The new update I’m working on, I’m going to release as a separate mod that will require the highlander. It’ll take time to get all the necessary things into the highlander, and I also have a couple other mods on my plate right now, so it won’t be released soon, but this is just a notice that this non-highlander version won’t be supported anymore, moving forward.

Nevermind, I found it. For anyone who has the same problem, the schematic names are in XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config\XComStrategyTuning.ini

I have to manually upgrade every item I buy using UpgradeItemsForSchematic because the newly bought weapons and armor disappear when I pick a different armor. Is there a file in the XCOM directory that I can open up in the developer tools that will list all of the schematic names so I don't have to keep bugging you?

I've tried looking through your files but you've only got the DLC Schematic Names

Ginger  [author] Aug 6 @ 12:58am
Yeah that's definitely not intended. Do you have other mods that modify loot drops? I set it up so that every time an enemy drops a weapon upgrade (scope, repeater, etc) it will also drop 1 loot box. You start off only with a high chance for green and small chance for blue, then small chance for green and high chance for blue, then high chance for blue and small chance for orange. The rarity of boxes goes up with enemy force level.

If your loot drops don't conform to that, then either you should deletrre your config folder or you have another mod that changes loot drops.

Ok thanks for your answer Ginger
Ginger  [author] Aug 4 @ 4:50pm
If tactical suppressors replaces the normal repeaters, then you will only get tactical suppressors and they will probably be told what weapons they can be equipped to by this mod. If it adds entirely new items, then they'll be fully compatible.
Pepitoxxx Aug 4 @ 10:54am
Sorry to bother thx for the porting Ginger, does anyone knows if this mod conflict in some way with tactical suppressors or we can have both suppressor and repeater in the game,' not necessarily on the same weapon) ?
