For those who still play Stellaris 2.1: I created a new AI mod which is based on Glavius's work, but my mod goes much deeper and have a lot of unique features, leading to much better AI.
You can check proof of this and read detailed description here:

fyi, the problem with CGM causing AIs to stop colonizing seems to be their auto-colonization engine - it collides with your scripting presumably. if you turn that off, they behave mostly normally and their planets are laid out reasonably well even with all of the CGM changes.

i'm sure you're much busier with 2.2 than figuring out compatibility problems, but that was my experience with the combination in 2.1

@Hobo A streamer played a prerelease version and posted on reddit (altough he later retracted it because he was breaking the review embargo). I hope he was exaggerating, but since PDX has yet to teach the AI to even use the Starbase System of 2.0 properly, i am not holding my breath.

This may sound a bit like a odd request, but is there any chance we could get a dummy 2.2 mod that changes nothing to subscribe to so that when the 2.2 release is ready we'll automatically have the changes, rather than having to manually search the workshop periodically and wade through the various mods you've made Glavius?
