I cutted the vortex variants for WotC.
Void Strike need some heavy adjustments for WotC so this will come back at a later stage.

Higher tiers are unlocked when you buy the coresponding sword tier.
There are no additional costs.

There is a config value if you only want cosmetic variants which have no stat difference to the vanilla swords
just set
bNinjatoIsCosmetic=true
bKatanaIsCosmetic=true
bWakizashiIsCosmetic=true
(Default is false)

This mod should work on existing save games.

First and most i want to credit Escrimator.
The energy and plasma katana models, all wakizashi and all ninjato models and all sheaths are his work.

FAQ

Q: I don't see the mobility bonus in the UI/Ninjato don't give mobility bonus?

A: Remove the relevant lines in XComUI.ini and you will see the mobility bonus.
The downside is it will show the swords aim bonus on your soldier then.
Nothing i can do about that.

I must be doing something wrong. I can't find the swords anywhere. Not in engineering or the proving ground. Same thing with the ballistic shield mod I installed. Do they conflict with any other mods I should be aware of?

Hey, since this mode is updated my templar animations messed up, he attacks likes he has a swords and stay doing the big jesus (cross stance) to launch a volt. Any ideas?

just a noob question, i already installed the mod and activated but it seems in my mid-game doesn't show any of the swords above? do i have to do anything else like researching to get the swords?

I just did some looking around, and I wonder if the weapons added by this mod don't bennifit from the improved weapon tier breakthroughs because the Template.Tier lines in X2Item_Katana_Weapon.uc are all set to 0.

Hey, Musashi, have you managed to fix the problem with the katanas not bennifiting from the improved conventional, mag, or beam weapon breakthroughs?

If you want Arc Blade looks and Fusion Blade stats... That's more complex, maybe messing around with this mod's XComContent.ini would do it, dunno.
