The prototype is fully functional and should give you a good feel for the game, but the levels are obviously incomplete.

Perennial is a platforming game. The intention is to have smooth technical operation combined with a pure aesthetic that isn't gummed up by standard video game tropes like words.

The game uses a custom engine with some cool features:
  • Runs at any resolution and aspect ratio without distortion or blurring
  • Supports refresh rates up to 120hz
  • Fullscreen borderless window mode for easy alt+tabbing
  • Joystick support with hotplugging (ie plug in joystick after game is running)
  • Modest hardware requirements (runs well on my netbook)

Played this at PAX East! Had a lot of fun with a friend of mine, and I can't wait for it to come out!

Badspot is a total douchebag, honestly. Purchasing Blockland was way too much money going to him.

Any news? I see a lot of development on your other game with Rot.

Why the peaple gives money to the creator of Blockland its not because the game its poorly optimized or its horribly boring its because the creator its bad with its clients and most of the players that maded negative reviews got banned of blockland but i think its most like a reward

"No prototype is to be found on this site."

He "took it down a while ago" according to his Twitter, as he's "not sure there's a benefit to having it up at this point."

In reply to your discussion's title, he's not necessarily a liar. He just hasn't bothered editing his Greenlight page for this game.

He claims there is a prototype you can play and links to his site to draw users for ad revenue.

No prototype is to be found on this site.

You have to search comments for kind users supplying links to the prototype elsewhere.

Do NOT buy this game.

@everyone telling people to not support this game

You guys are very late. Perennial was greenlit February 19, 2014.

The most you can do is rate it as "not recommended" when it gets released.
