Dragonfall and HK both have good stories, but the pace of both games is significantly slower. "Returns" (either this one, or it's vanillia predecessor) are only about 10 hours... Where DFDC I believe is 17-20 and HK is 25 (ish) hours long.

That's probably the difference you're seeing. Stick with it... It's a good story, and an enjoyable experiance.

Thanks for the replies! @Wisu, that's too bad, and doesn't really make sense. It's not like a nuke was dropped in Pike, only a taxi ride away.

I got the door open ok, but my inexperience with this IP lead me to believe I needed a datajack to hack in. :cfacepalm:

This is probably blasphemy on this board but I started playing Dragonfall and the story just isn't grabbing me the way your mod for Returns. Guess I could try the Hong Kong story see if I like it more. :whiskeybottle:

There is a threshold for both quickness and strength to bypass the door, but I don't recall off hand what it was. I did include some stat not high enough options because I don't much like the "you can't even try" limit system.

There's a vent back in the warehouse you can squeeze through if your body is low enough... Also a drone station that can be used if you have drone control

Is there a specific amount of Stat required to get pass the robber peacefully? I got both a strength and a quickness option but neither were able to get past the door.

The robbery at SS is an addition, but it is completeable without a decker. You may not be able to hack the SS server, but that's not the only resolution there.

Ohhh you never go back in Harebraineds games to a same mission area. So all are separate karma buckets to rifle through - protip you can do the mishion without hacking easily, all of the games missions can be, just if you have it you can get an extra datajack required gun for hackers as an extra bonus.

Best advice is to chooe an archetype and stick to it, jack of all trades are annoyingly weak most of the game.

Oh, well thought the robbery inside was your addition. It's my first time playing any Shadowrun game and when you mentioned him going inside. I can't seem to attack the robber first and he wants me to wipe data, which I guessed needed a datajack to complete the quest and save the employees lives. So I waited to go inside thinking I would get to come back.

Secondly during Loose Ends, I could not talk to Johnny or Mrs. Kubota (no tags above their heads), so just went to the funeral. Not sure if I did something wrong or it was a glitch/bug.

I don't believe there is. The necklace is from the vanillia campaign... Only change is that the guy who asked you to get it moved inside the stuffer shack. (Previously he stayed outside)

Hacking will require a datajack, and a cyberdeck. A starting archtype decker gets them automatically... if you built a custom hybrid character they may not.

Ooc, is there a guide for your changes? The first thing I didn't understand was the extra quest dealing with the wooden necklace from Pike Place. It most likely is because I never played a Shadowrun game before. I didn't understand how to hack without a datajack. So I guessed we were intended to come back to the level after being able to purchase a datajack. Now I'm stuck with the necklace and no way to get back.
