Blackiimov Guide

This is a guide for identifying and differentiating between fake Blackiimovs, real Blackiimovs and just normal Battle-Scarred Asiimovs.

I've seen a lot of people advertising their 0.85fv Asiimov as a Blackiimov so I wanted to create this guide to hopefully bring some clarity on the matter.


Note: This will not be a guide touching on the pricing of any of these items as that fluctuates. That being said, in general the higher the float, the higher the price.

What are they?

Blackiimovs are AWP Asiimovs with a high enough float value for the scope to be completely black.

These have taken a huge rise in popularity, and thus price, lately.

A very nice and unique playskin that will earn you loads and loads of upvotes if sold on /r/globaloffensivetrade - those guys love their Blackiimovs.

Blackiimov Names

Blackiimovs have been and are called a lot of different names. The most common ones are:

- Blackiimov

- Blacksiimov

- Black Scope

Personally I prefer Black Scope but it's a lesser known epithet.

High Float Asiimovs

Typically a Fake Blackiimov start at around 0.93FV as before then there is still a lot of obvious white on the scope, as you can see below on this 0.89FV.



This is not a Blackiimov nor a fake one.

Fake Blackiimovs

A fake Blackiimov, as I mentioned earlier, is an Asiimov with a float higher than 0.93FV. With a fake Blackiimov you can still see the white on the scope, but it's not as obvious as the 0.89 in the section above.

Here's an example of a 0.93FV:



Here's an example of a 0.95FV:



As you can see in both examples, the white is still there but it's not too in your face.

Real Blackiimovs

Real Blackiimovs typically start at around 0.96FV as that's when you really start being unable to notice the white, from here scopes get clearer and clearer. At about 0.97FV you start seeing little to no white what so ever.

Here's an example of a typical fully clear Black Scope black scope.



This is about as clear as the scope gets and from here, the float is purely for collector's value.

Conclusion

In general it's hard to pinpoint exactly where a fake Blackiimov ends and a real one begins as the wear and where it goes differentiates a tad based on pattern. Meaning you could have a fully clear 0.95FV, or a 0.96 With splotches on it.

In my opinion, if the scope has no white on it, it's a Black Scope, if it has a bit of white, it's a Fake Black Scope and if it has a lot of white, it's a scam.

The floats listed above are what typically is regarded as fake ones and real ones and deviating is usually going to get you downvoted to oblivion.
