Taking on the role of a powerful Avatar of the heroic, individualistic Danaan; you will try to save them from certain extinction at the hands of an immense horde of ravenous ice monsters – known as the Shangur –driven ever forward by an unstoppable wave of moving ice and snow that consumes everything it shrouds.

Once you’ve mastered the many Skills, Spells, Structures, Units, and tactics in the campaign, you can test your skills against your friends in our wide selection of Player-vs-Player gametypes. Our Multiplayer game and map-types offer both well-loved favourites, and some new surprises of our own! Or of course, if you’re feeling confident, just jump right into the PvP action!

you can save the game, just not in the middle of a level. the game saves when you finish each level.

Comments on saving. There are difficulty settings, quite a few. There is a save whenever a level is completed. So you can put down the game at the end of each level and come back with progress. There were a few comments on the fact that it didn't have in level saving, but we always felt that constant save reload to try to complete the game at a high difficulty level than the player could deal with was not needed. What we wanted to focus on post launch was internet play, co-op play adding some game types and levels which we did do. If you feel that its the most important thing that we do saving and enough people agree with you we would probably do it. Let me stress again, there is progression saving, eg at the end of each level. I consider this saving and there are many games that use check points or progression save systems.

@epiphanygames - Haven't bought it yet; just found that (can't save during singleplayer mode) as the common complaint of the critics. Given that I don't play much coop/multiplayer and plays mostly singleplayer, it's sort of a concern.

Steam serials, so we are going to try to hook somthing up that has a button that sends you a steam key, but I don't know what I can do yet because im still reading all the Steamworks stuff and waiting for my key to be able to make the build. When its ready for Steam you will have a key or the abilty to get the key. But I still need to set it up etc.

Hi, so saving games within levels we thought made the levels easy. There is also a difficulty scale. The campaign does save progress so if you are not progressing properly on exit thats an issue. Technically there are some reasons not to do it (mostly to do with branching data and co-op mode; what if mid co-op campaign you want to play with someone else etc) but we could have done it we chose to do other features instead. Tell us if you think this is a real issue, because we would like to know.
