MushroomBallVR Early Access Group
Description
Release date: April 2016

Become a part of a new mushroom World to save the Kingdom of Mervil's. New enemies have arrived and are threatening the Mervil people’s very existence! Will it be you who defends the Kingdom?

To Play The First Five Levels On The Oculus Rift, You Can Click Here To Download[share.oculus.com]

In MushroomBallVR, you are the leader of the Mervil Kingdom within Mushroom Land. You and your companions love mushrooms and need them to survive. But, your enemies have been raiding the lands and eating your precious food. It’s your job to travel in your mushroomball to all corners of the Mushroom Land Universe, scare off your enemies, and take back what is yours!

Single Player - Timer Mode: Race against the clock, the better time you score the more Mushroom Stars you get for your people! In the leaderboards, see how you stack-up against other mushroomballers too.

Single Player - Exploration Mode: Your ancestors created a magical force field that protects your kingdom. The once mighty force field has worn off and the magical pages of The Great Mirvel Book that once bound this spell, are scattered throughout the worlds. Go back and scour the worlds to find the pages and lost artifacts!

Online - Multiplayer Mode: Join your friends and other mushroomballers in the same world to compete for mushroom supremacy in mini games! Race against friends and see if you're mushroomballing skills matchup on the world stage. Continuous mini games in the pipeline.

In future levels, within both single player modes, MushroomBall will become progressively more puzzle based with keys, portals, platforms, springboards, pressure plates, and hidden areas along the way.

Using the coins you gather along the way you can buy more power-ups from Merlyn the potion master!

Merlyn is an old wizard who has the power to give you the answers and potions needed to defeat your enemies, and discover the World. We know Merlyn is there to help you out, we just do not know why. As you grow as a leader and solve the mystery of Merlyn, he will be able to grant you more powers. As much as Merlyn is there to help you defeat enemies and travel through Worlds, we’d like to think his biggest asset is helping you discover yourself.

Of course, you are the most interesting character in the Mushroom World. From the beginning we know that you are the Leader of the Mervil Kingdom and a Mervil yourself. What we don’t understand is why you were chosen to lead the Kingdom of Mervil’s. Everything a Mervil is (laid back and unadventurous), you are not. As you progress through the different Worlds you will learn more and more about your character, and why you are so different. For now, all we know is that you are the baddest King or Queen around and that you travel in a ball… Oh, and you're pals with Merlyn.

In future levels, within both single player modes, MushroomBall will become progressively more puzzle based with keys, portals, platforms, springboards, pressure plates, and hidden areas along the way

The game includes 4 power-ups to help you progress through time mode quicker and help you get to all corners of the exploration mode. Using the D-Pad you can:

1. Freeze Time and Space including all enemies
2. Become invincible so that nothing can stop you!
3. Fly into the sky on demand
4. Portal and teleport back at anytime (helping you get to the highest points of the exploration mode without dying along the way!)

I have upvoted this game as well. Two members of the team may actually recognize me from the TechAlliance show at Fanshawe College today. (https://instagram.com/p/-KafB5jU_c/) Surely, that graphics can use some touching up, but for its state I saw it in, I was impressed. Also, the VR might need some fixing too as I was able to see throught certain objects such as that mountain. Mind you, then again, I only suggest these be fixed based on the demo I played, which according to the duo that was there is a month old.
Anyway, all the best wishes on the game and I hope to be able to play through it again! :D

I don't have an oculus, because I wasn't a supporter. That and I don't have the money for one just yet. Also, about what I said about the graphics being ugly, I was mostly referring to the character models and animations, which I should of made more clear in my post.

Hey Cyberbrickmaster, you should give it a try on the Oculus DK2, it's just too hard to convey VR on a 2D screen...

Why are so many people fasinated by this? It looks awful! I've seen better looking promo videos for kickstarters, so there really is no reason why they should demonstrate this game at its current state, cause it just looks ugly! Seriously, are you people high or something?

Hey @Perrydotto, no worries at all, it's a cross between Mario 3D and Super Monkey Ball in VR but stay in touch for mobile VR versions in the future if you don't end up purchasing a Rift, Vive, or PlayStationVR
Perrydotto 5 Nov, 2015 @ 7:06am
I already have Monkey Ball and I don't own a VR, so not for me.
