KNEE GROW Dec 18, 2025 @ 5:07am
It happened during a late-night session of L4D2. I joined a random lobby and saw a player named pzda. He stood out right away, sharp aim, perfect timing, great coordination. He carried our team, and I was impressed. Over the next few days, we kept running into each other. Eventually, he added me. I felt proud. He even complimented my plays. But something felt off. When we played late at night for long hours, his behavior changed. If there was downtime, he’d start huffing petrol: “Just one breath, helps me focus.” I tried to ignore it, thinking he was just joking around. Then came the moment I won’t forget. During a tense Scavenge round, I made a mistake, got chargered and didn’t call it out fast enough. We lost, and he snapped: “You wouldn’t mess up if you tried this stuff. Works every time.” I tried to respond, but he kept going. I left the game. My hands shook. I stared at the screen, then cried. I haven’t played Scavenge again.
