Some devs take it very personal when your review is negative. I a way i can understands why but you have to take the citicsm to improve.
Once i got contacted by a dev, however he was polite. He tried to explain how the game works. i didn't like it one bit and he was a bit buthurt and said something along the lines of "then the game is not for you"
I was like duh....thats what a review is: A personal opinion or experience about a game or product. It was indeed not for me.
sorry you had to deal with this. i've also had a developer get extremely nasty with me after a critique and proceed to ban me with a nasty reason listed. steam apologized but said they can't do anything, and the game hubs are completely under the control of the devs. steam fails to realize they are providing the tools for these sociopaths to abuse.
