Its just not fun, I appreciate the heavily artistic concept and design, but game mechanics don't let you actually enjoy anything. Its either you love it or you hate it and for me its genuinely hard to lock into.

Def fun, just a needs sum more optimizing, solid game.

In my old review I rated this game a 8/10 and said I would recommend it to people. Coming back now in 2024, nearing the 1 year anniversary, I simply cannot say the same anymore. Payday 3 is currently not a bad same by any means, but it is unacceptable the lack of content and major changes since release for a 40$ price tag. Ofc rn the game is fun yes, but I find it hard to do more than what meets the eye, theres no layers to Payday 3. In Payday 2, yes after 10 years theres going to be more content duh, but even on launch there was so much to do, maps had a level of rng, there was more items and weapons in general. There was no limit to a players customizability or arsenal. Payday 3 feels like it punishes me for wanted more guns or different outfits that aren't just re-colors of eachother. BTW PAYDAY 3 INSTEAD OF MAKING DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF 1 OUTFIT THEY ARTIFICIALLY INFLATE THE AMOUNT OF SUITS IN THE GAME BY MAKING EACH COLOR VARIATION A SEPERATE SUIT. thats just depressing :(

Don't get me wrong the game isn't bad, everything is fun, but players need more to make it worth there time. If you are a payday fan I defenitely reccoment buying this game, but for anyone else whos just getting into it, WAIT IT OUT TILL MORE UPDATES PLSS.

after some patches, def not as bad as it was on launch but it still sucks. don't buy this unless ur a series fan, thats why i bought it. honestly i DO think POSTAL 3 was better, NOT that better but still. postal 3 had a unique art style and was bad because of external events involving a financial crisis. they ATLEAST TRIED to make a product with its own vision, this game lacks all that. postal 4 is a as basic as it can be, most characters look like they where made with that adobe character maker. the only character that looks unique is the postal dude whos (all outfits, except zack wards) look nice. the world looks so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly to do anything in. i swear the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alpha map had better lighting and gore. speaking of gore idk if someone at rws was doing chimpanzee crack or sum ♥♥♥♥ but the gore looks just like red piss. atleast the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alpha actually leaned towards being a nutjob and ripping people apart. honestly i hope that rws give the ip to another company like what they did with brain damaged, because i feel like some how every other company is better at making a game than they are. rws is no longer making the game they did back when they started the postal ip. postal 4 lacks even the most shrivled up balls to make any comments on todays politics or woke ideas. postal 4 lacks any kind of back bone for what it tries to do, but still leans into it. as a resut. postal 4 doesn't apeal to anyone, maybe long time fans, barely to new but not to many.
