although there has been alotta reviews for this game throughout the years , i'm still gonna add my overall analysis of this wonderful journey of a masterpiece to the pile.
first and foremost i wanted to talk about the overall mod support of this game. warband is definitely an exceptional medieval sandbox in the gaming industry that lets you mod however you wish.

( highly advise everyone to play the mod prophesy of pendor for their 2nd playthrough , as i believe it's a heavily well-made mod and even more fleshed out than the vanilla version , however it's way way harder than the basegame warband so be warned ). ( and also use WSE2 (warband script extender 2) it's a fanmade patch that makes the game way more optimized and even lets you change your fov and the battle sizes as you seem fit )

this is the only medieval sandbox game that made me feel like i'm actually the one in command of my troops , as basic as the gameplay loop may seem to be ( grinding for building up an army and then scouring the lands with your troops ), the whole combat system and battles that you fight throughout your journey of becoming a king are phenomenal and worth experiencing atleast once in your life , yeah the graphics might feel a little janky for those who haven't played it , since this game was made in 2010 , but the general worldbuilding and the battles make up for it.

So unsheathe your swords and start your expedition as you're about to undergo a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
