SCENE 1

* PISTOL FIRE *
Woman: Devil May Cry...

Narrator: Two milleniums ago. There was a war between the human world and the other, the Underworld.

Narrator: But somebody from the underworld woke up to justice and stood up against this legion alone.

Narrator: His name was Sparda. Later he quietly reigned the human world and continued to preserve harmony until his death.

Narrator: He became a legend. The legendary dark knight Sparda...

SCENE 2:

(Trish flies in and drops into the road in front of Dante's office)

(Camera zooms to the front of the office)

* PHONE RINGING *

(Fades into the office, panning around the various objects inside)

* DANTE PICKS UP *

Dante: "Devil May Cry"

Dante: ...sorry, we closed at 9:00.

Dante: Again, no password. I can't seem to get any real business.

(Trish drives the entrance of the office with a motorcycle)

(Camera pans to reveal Dante sitting at his desk)

Dante: Whoa, slow down babe!
(Trish gets off the motorcycle and walks over to Dante)

Dante: Well well, what do we have here?

Dante: Nature's call? It's in the back. (referring to the restroom)

(Trish walks up to Dante, observing his office)

Trish: So... you must be the handyman who will take any dirty job? Am I correct?

Dante: Almost. I only take special jobs. If you know what I mean.

(Dante removes his sword, rebellion from the wall)

Trish: You're the man who lost a mother and brother to evil twenty years ago.

Trish: The son of the legendary dark knight, sparda. Mr. Dante.

(Camera pans to Dante's sword)

(Dante walks up to Trish)

Dante: Well the way I figure it, in this business a lot of your kind comes around, and if I kill each one that comes, eventually I should hit the "Jackpot" sooner or later.

(Dante points his sword at Trish)

Trish: In that case, you should be used to this sort of thing.

(Trish electrocutes Dante, beats him up, impales him with his sword then proceeds to throw a motorcycle at him)

Trish: Are you really the son of the legendary dark knight Sparda? Didn't your father ever teach you how to use a sword?

Dante: A sword? Haha. Time to go to work, guys!

(Dante shoots at the motorcycle, pushing it torwards Trish before exploding)

Trish: No!

(Trish jumps away from the motorcycle)

Dante: Even as a child, I had powers. There's demonic blood in me...

(Trish crawls away from Dante while facing him)

Trish: What strength...

(Dante pulls his sword out of his chest and pierces it into the ground)

Dante: You're the first one to know about my avengeance. It looks like I'm getting closer.

(Dante points his pistol at Trish)

Trish: It seems that way. But I'm not your enemy. My name is trish.

Trish: I came to seek your help... to put an end to the Underworld.

(Trish removes her sunglasses, Dante glares at her as if he has seen her before. Camera cuts to a picture of Dante's mother, Eva.)

SCENE 3:

(Camera zooms into a blue orb which reveals an Island)

Trish: 20 years ago, Mundus, the emperor of the Underworld resurrected.

Dante: Mundus?

Trish: Yes. His powers were sealed by Sparda.

Trish: He's attempting to gain control of the human world once again.

Trish: He's been preparing to open the gate on... Mallet Island..

(Camera Pans to the island, showing water splashing on rocks. The scene fades out.) given.
