Mods for a simple sprite change are the players not the devs. So I would like to know the devs point of view of it. I mean I can somewhat understand due to Nintendo but eighth themes would limit other ideas, ignoring the Zelda recreation ideas, what if someone wants to make a steampunk forest level inspired from Brave Fencer Musashi or even some stylistics silhouette style dungeon, or a dark heavy gothic dungeon. Just only putting it out there. Sorry if it feels like I am pushing, but I am just curious of the decision of it since with modding is a good thing for having in the game. Is it because of the switch port that prevents modding to be a thing or any deal with nintendo in general?

Eight themes is only what is promised in the trailer. It's very likely that there will be more. It all comes down to the success of the game.

If someone wants to make a steampunk forest level inspired by Brave Fencer Musashi, then they are better off actually learning how to develop games instead of trying to use a gamified level editor that we are creating, I'm sorry.

Quest Master isn't meant to be an engine.

I see its cool I only ask out of curiousity so pardon if it feels rude is just an honest question and concern, nonetheless I cant wait for the game hoping development is going smoothly.

Yes, and it can easily lead to infringing copyright. This game is heavily inspired by Zelda, of course players will be first to use actual Zelda sprites.

In topic Suggestions & Feedback
since you take suggestions here is some.

Already suggested one about having an option to turn HUD off which is cool you are down with that idea.

In game Record and video replay edit, kinda like how you did for the trailer making a video of the run.

Adding in Lap Racing, this is also together with adding in multiplayer and time attack racing or single player racing. Also adding that option into the editor, which I can imagine that people would love to remake tracks from other racing games for fun.

Adding the option for no death wall in Lap racing.

There is still more since this game is still brand new

In topic 1-07 Red track ?
I see it but kinda cheap seeing as you are magnetically on the track on the top of a pipe and you will be instant dead since the only way is to fall of the side with no recovery.

In topic tips for going loud runs?
simple tips
1. Just keep moving .
2. Don't stay in one spot.
3. Darkness is your friend so stay in the shadows so you can ambush the enemies.
4. Be mindful on how much ammo you have and reload when you are in the clear.

In topic Feature Suggestions
Just a suggestion to add for the level editor and modding:

Adding multiple floors in a level
-Seeing as 2 levels in particular have 2 floors, maybe you could make a feature that you can create infinite number of floors with no limits, just imagine that instead of going in a ground floor building with a basement you are going in an office building that have multiple floors to explore and backtrack.

Add a Day light option
-If it’s possible to add an option where level is in the daylight where the added challenge is to hide you self in the shadows.

Add different Mission objective and Difficulty selection
-Kind of a basic one but maybe you include some mission objectives selection that can be used in the level like for example not only you eliminate the enemies but also collect a number of Intel placed on the level. Also having the choice to select what difficulty the AI will have in the level.

New door type
- If that was suggested maybe introduce a destructible door that can be destroyed by a grenade and a high caliber bullet.

Add an option to control load out
-Seeing as the first level and the raid of Steve house never gave you the option to choose what weapon, would be interesting to add the feature set a condition on how you play the level. Where you can disable to choose a weapon or place what weapon the player can use in the level.

Add new faction:
-I know there are different enemy types on how they handle weapons. But it would be interesting to see other factions come into play. Like high-ranking mafia involve with the drug trade and a corrupt Military or police being involve in it. Just to give the enemy some new looks like a clean suit or military fatigue instead of drabby beanie wearing outfits.

Adding new weapons:
-Can’t suggest anything on what weapons to add since there are like a ton of them in the world to choose. But add new weapons, if possible; maybe add it if you are thinking of making a story DLC that can be added in the workshop for players to use.

For Modding:
Simple one:
1. Able to change tile sprite or even better adding tile sprites in the sprite sheet with no limits
2. Able to change character, weapon and item sprites
3. Able to change effects in the game like gun sounds
4. Able to add in new weapons and factions
