So you call youself a Pc enthusiast. You have all the hardware. The high end cpu , the beast of a gpu that burned a hole in your pocket where your wallet used to be.
And now your wondering what game thats out there in 2016 thats worthy of both your time and all your gaming effort.
Boom. You've found it. Rise of the Tomb Raider is all you could hope for in a 2016 game. It's graphically beautiful, has a well written story line , great controls for gamepads , keyboard and mouse users alike. It is also the most challenging game you'll ever play on its highest difficulty "Survivor" setting.

-So far I've completed the game twice.
On release day I played through on a highly overclocked 980ti Zotac Amp Extreme. At that time I chose the basic settings : High video settings , 1080p resolution, Normal difficulty . It was a very immersive experience. Not quite the challenge that causes you to smash your keyboard but still a great feeling of accomplishment when credits start to roll.
Fast foward to October 2016.... I finally got around to playing again. This time on a GTX 1080 at 2560x1440 resolution , Ultra settings and on Survival difficulty. All I can say is wow. I loved it right up to the ending. By far the best Pc game I ever played.

If you have the hardware and want a challenge that will give you an achievement to be proud of ... Play this game @ 2560x1440 on Survivor difficulty. It will blow your hairback with graphical beauty and intelligent AI that will fight you to their very last digital breath.


Survivor Difficulty – Push your survival skills to the limit
* Combat has aim assistance disabled
* Health regeneration is disabled
* Enemies have increased health and damage
* Enemies have increased senses
* More difficult enemies will be present
* There are fewer resources and upgrades are more expensive

Edit : 1/16/18 - I finally got around to playing through the campaign again on Extreme Survivor. I started out using 3D Vision but had to quit because I got dizzy as Laura was swinging around at towering heights . I still stand firmly beside my original review. This game has far succeeded my expectations on what a Tomb Raider experience should be like. Loved it to the end. -AGAIN
