This game is worth any price. And I desperately hope it'll get the attention it deserves.
You don't need to be good at painting. I can just about draw a stickfigure and nothing more.

The story and the characters are magical and charming and so full of life with so many layers.
It's a story with art at its core, yes. But it is more about selfconfidence, friendship, selfdoubt.

Bonuspoints for naming everything after food. Towns, people. It's cute and charming.
Packaged with memorable and awesome soundtrack too.

The gamemechanics are very well done too. The puzzles feel creative, always new and refreshing and rewarding.
You can always just call your parents and have them give you the answer. Your mother will give you a general pointer as to the story, but if you're really stuck then dad can tell you exactly in what screen to find your way and how to overcome puzzles.

It's also super fair in telling you things like: Don't swim down that waterfall, you won't get back up. Like the game perfectly knows when something is frustrating and it is one step ahead of you to prevent it.
Later on shortcuts naturally unlock if you unlock new powers making it a cakewalk to get to unexplored chests.

And if you're totally not up for bossfights and you just want to go for the story, you can increase your health, make urself immortal or skip the bossfights in your options.
Or want colours that are easier on your eyes? Yup. It got you covered.
Scared to have missed a costume? There's a shop that lets you trade your costumes for whatever is in undiscovered chests. So you can never miss clothes you really want.
This game gives you all the tools you would possibly want.

Bonuspoints:
The german translation is really really good. There's a couple words missing like typo style. But aside from that I felt at home in my native language. And I do say that playing MMOs and most other games in english cuz those translations are usually lacking. So big thumbsup.

* * *

If I had to name negative things theres only two details that come to mind. The first NPC I encountered was - the only - NPC that speaks in text language "lol". And I was wierded out and scared at first that everyone would talk like this. I would maybe place that NPC a few screens further away.

And this one paintbrush style. The paintbucket? I thought I needed something else for the puzzle and straight up skipped the screen. And went on to colour in the entire world without the pain bucket. Yeah. Don't do that. I would have wished that this special tool would be awared for the paint classes or otherwise through the story. Something you can't miss. But that's also just me being dumb. And nitpicky.
