Insane skilltrees, addicting minigames, charming art style, but... NOT an idle game (until you dump a lot of time in; still not idle for me, idle's a recommended 2nd playthrough, not your main content... misleading storepage somewhat).

Windows shortcuts said no. My keyboard only registering 4-5 buttons simultaniously soon chimed in to also screams no.

Tried mouse & was hard stuck to short range attacks. Also no blocking? Literally the first set of non-trash-mobs are throwing spears at me that needs to be blocked.

Tried controller - Can block with sticks; can use DS4 to emulate an xbox controller so I can play on my PS5 controller. But still hard stuck to shorter-range than I would have bumping my keyboard with tiny hands.

It's a shame, I love one finger deathpunch, and I love the graphic style of this game. But uuuh... yeah: No.

Apparently they want to adress this in their first update; but why the rush to shadow drop this in summer games then if you did not even finalize your core gameplay keybinds?! And without an EA tag?

It's also very questionable how most positive reviews only have a playtime of 10 minutes and state "kicks me out of game, or opens overlays I didn't know I had, can't beat my enemies but goty".

On the same note, negative reviews are being salt dumped by ppl who don't have more playtime yet think we just insulted their god or something. This game is missing *very basic controls*, it's not a matter of taste.

I care. I tried. I have expectations. Game didn’t meet them—and pretending that’s my fault helps no one, least of all the devs if they want to learn from mistakes.

Yes, 100x yes, I usually don't like dense protagonists, but the (english) voice actors really sell the immersion, love the animations & the soundtrack as well. combat is very satisfying, not 100% into the platforming but I'll take it.

Smash sound is satisfying. Microtransactions are subtly hidden away and don't agressively beg you to pay attention to them. First impression defo is positive. Will update as I get to the "mid-game" to lategame.

Definitely way worse than reviews imply. 6 runs in and there's no joy or addiction to be found.

Your ball bounces for a few seconds, you see a few numbers go up, pray for items, repeat next run. Ballionaire, Luck be the Landlord, any other of those at least let me have control over my board.

I can play an idle game for the numbers going up. Or a roguelite that lets me actually have proper control over my actions if I want to engage my brain. Or minesweeper if I want to have PC nostalgia.

Yes - Trying to make friends as an introvert is hard. It hurts, it's scary. I feel understood.
Mechanics, writing & soundtrack are "OK", too. Overqualified & Kicking-gras. :P

Also it teases my brain like few other games do. Looking forward to smith new personal theories as I replay. That chapter 3... cuz rank apparently isn't "just for fun" as promised ingame.

Early Access Review
The writing and the graphics kind of kill it for me. I wanted to give it an honest chance,
but it's just so... alien that it doesn't give my immersion the chance to do that.

Graphics makes it hard for me to see what's going on... Usually love pixelart, but this is unclean for whatever reason. Not enough contrast between what matters? I always wanted to boot it up again, but... never felt the urge or satisfaction that made it worth it.

Is a good concept... but the other boards are disappointing or frustrating. And having to wait for the slot machine animation every spin? Oh boy. That's totally not frustrating with so much RNG.

Editing my review to positive 'cuz the marked money sorter in the experimental branch is a lifechanger.
I'm glad and hyped to see frustration being adressed. Thank you for taking us along on this journey. o7

Old frustration that hopefully will also be adressed:

- Placing ANYTHING is a pain in the butt 'cuz you NEVER see where you're placing it and there is no grid to snap into place either. Pick up something that clips something else and it will collision explode. What, I can't nudge my table or my sorting machine into place, but this wagon and this empty box can somehow tackle the table over?

- You can't delete big furniture. Realised the racks are trash because your stacks of cash randomly start turning into a pile when they're too close to each other? Purchased some cheap ones or some carts in the beginning to manage your inventory before you had enough credits to go ham? Well goodluck crowding your place with that clutter.

- You can not take single items of a pallet - Or out of a box. Always take out a pile. Then try to scatter it somehow. Click the one thing you wanted. Put all the rest back in.

- At some point in the game a vault will open ("spoiler" for your own good) - It got a TON of cash in there. I was like "hell yeah, my reward for this mission. Let's yeet it into my piggy stash; it's inked anyway; people don't order inked bills."
Enter next quests... Deliver marked bills! Guess where to get those bills? It's the ones from the vault before that you threw away. Imagine if the vault only opened AFTER you got the quest to deliver marked bills. You may think something like "oh, those are important!".

- You can click/pickup tables THROUGH a big fat money pile. It's the same keybind! What, you wanted to pick up 100 bills to tape them? No, you have the table in hands now; your tape is rolling all across the floor, this pile of money will randomly scatter itself into nearby boxes or pallets. Enjoy cleaning up.
