In topic Samsung Steam Link App 4k support
user mcjung has said that a firmware update is required for them to implement 4K support on 2016 TV's, so it could take awhile to implement.

Hi mcjung, can you tell us which are the other countries?
You want him to list 55 countries? Why not just ask if it's available in the countries you're interested in?

Any plans for HDR support in the future?

Hi all,
If your TV cannot find your PC right after installation, please let me know your environment. We need to reproduce it.

- TV model name, firmware version
- wifi or wired? (between TV and a router, between a router and a PC)
- app version
- router info, model name, used options, ..
Do you know if 4K is going to be supported on 2016 TVs in the future? Or is it not possible on those models?

slouken, will the 2016 TV's eventually get 4k support or is there a hardware limitation preventing this?

Yes, the 2016 TVs don't currently support 4K streaming. Samsung is working on messaging so you don't just get a black screen.
Slouken, I was under the impression that the 2016 TV's were quite similar to the 2017 TV's. Will we get 4K streaming for 2016 TV's in the future, or is this not possible due to a hardware limitation?

What model of TV do you guys have? Have you updated your TV's firmware?

Thanks!
