[Update - Nov 19 2019]

As of this update, I am giving this title a "thumbs-up". The developer has been very responsive to questions and comments. They have also added a good chunk of content since release, and communicate that more content is to come. This is a cool idea for a game, and it's good to see active development for this title. I'm eager to see where it goes from here.

Following this "update", I purchased some items from the Developer's store. They didn't register to my account correctly, but the developer was quick to rectify the problem. They replaced my lost items, and were quick to respond.

[Original Review]

First off, I think the idea behind this game is awesome. Basically, you open loot boxes which contain a single image of an anime girl. You might earn a rare loot box, which might contain a half-nude anime girl. Uncensored nude. Loot boxes cost in-game money, which you supposedly earn every twenty four hours. You start off with a pretty good amount. Now, this in itself isn't much of a game. . . but what's cool (or maybe gimmicky) is that the images you get can be sold or traded.

As in, sold for real money or traded using Steam's inventory functions.

Now if you ask me, that's awesome. Unfortunately, there's hardly any content in this game. There just isn't enough pictures to collect. Considering how generous the game is with the currency, and how little prizes there are, the actual value of many of these images is 0.03 to 0.20-ish USD. And that's on release. Give this game a few days, and those prices might crash.

The interface is a bit meh. I would like to see some means of organization in-game. You can't full-screen the images, which is a peeve of mine. As of this game's release, I give this title a thumbs down. But I'll be keeping it around, and holding onto my loot. Maybe this game will see a (much needed) increase of content, and perhaps by then I'll be turning my thumb to the "up position".

On a side note, I'd like to see more, uh, saucy content. Steam allows it, so let the people have it dagsarnit!

Censorship - None.
Hours of Content - Five minutes for base content, but theoretically hours.
Modding Support - Upload your own images!
Sexual Content - Depends on downloads.

I was gonna give this game the ol' downvote, but I have to give credit where credit's due. This is another H-puzzle game. You have to unscramble a board of mixed-up shapes. You start with five images, all (but one) featuring a very cutesy mascot. I like her, and the images. You can find these images inside your install folder, which is pretty cool. If I wanted to set 'em as say, a wallpaper, I can. You can upload your own images to solve, or download (and upload) images via Steam Workshop.

The puzzles are very easy, and don't seem to be adjustable. I'm not sure if you can repeat puzzles without uploading an image again, but there should be a "retry" button. Those two things are my biggest gripes with this game. If these issues were fixed, this game would be a thumbs-up for sure.

Until then, this game scores a "side-ways thumbs".

It's another cheap puzzle game, but you can add and download your own puzzles. You can draw and "touch" your puzzles after completing them. The features blow, but they are novel. Who doesn't like to graffiti attractive women?

Censorship - None, with a secret code.
Hours of Content - Probably two or three hours. Maybe four.
Modding Support - None at all.
Sexual Content - Intercourse, skin-on-skin and skin-in-skin.

This game's boring and repetitive. Basically, you control a cannon and a team of "princesses". There are over one-hundred stages, but they all play the same. There are three enemies in each level, and you get to shoot your princesses up to five times per enemy. You can hit them directly, or allow your warriors to charge them. The enemies are all the same. . . there's maybe ten enemies. There are no hazards or obstacles. The only reason why you'd aim your cannon differently is to collect coins, which you use to level up your princesses.

Also, this game has no English. So be ready with a translation app of sorts.

Every stage you complete awards coins and one "jade". I'm not sure if it is jade, but that's what I got by looking at other reviews of this title. The jade has a strange face on it. I wouldn't trust it. But you sort of need it for the "saucy" content of this game. Every five jade (or five completed levels) grants another CG image. Each girl has four images, making for a total of 20 images to unlock.

I'd go off on a rant about how to control the game, but all you have to do is click around. You'll figure out where things are and what-does-what pretty easily. On the character screen, you'll want to upgrade your princesses. That way, you can score the "SSS" score on each stage. I didn't always get jade whenever I completed a stage, which leads me to assume there's a special way to get it. . . but I always got it after retrying. Huh.

I played for about 30 stages. They were all the same. As a matter of fact, I grew so bored with the game-play that I found myself browsing the internet while waiting for the animations to finish. Thank goodness for Steam Overlay. There is very little skill or strategy involved in this game. Just try to collect a few coins, aim and insta-kill the enemy (assuming you have been leveling up).

Well, let's talk about the sexy-stuff. There's no patch, but there's a code. Would you like to know it?
CTRL + F10, on the stage/gallery/character-select screen

Also, for maxed-out coins and jade, there's another one. I think you input this one on the character screen.
CTRL + A + F1

Now about the sexy-stuff, in detail. It's low resolution. It only fills half my screen, my modest 1920x1080 screen. Isn't that standard? And dare I say, mediocre? On the plus side, the images are pretty decent, and uncensored. Each character has one SFW picture, and three NSFW pictures.

On a side note, this game feels like a mobile game. It would make for a good mobile game. Well, not a good one, but it would translate well.

The game's boring, the sexy-stuff is OK at best, and until this game sees more development, I'd scroll past this title.

If you purchased The Legend of Arcadieu with the intention of enjoying some saucy content, this patch will hook you up. Not that I would install it. Well, I had to grab it to write this review. But it's not like I still have it installed. But I recommend it. Sure, I had to uh, "test" this patch before recommending it, but I can assure you that I did so as scientifically as possible. And then I promptly uninstalled it. I'm definitely not lying,

Censorship - None. Woot! Woot!
Hours of Content - An hour. Maybe two if you want every scene/ending.
Modding Support - None at all.
Sexual Content - Erotic poses, and full-on intercourse. Saucy.

I'm not a "virtual novel" type of person. As a matter of fact, I usually can't be bothered to click through any long-strings of dialogue in any title. I'm looking at you Neptunia series! But, as of recent, I've been opening my mind. So, I've been trying games I'd normally scroll past. The Legend of Arcadieu caught my eye. As soon as the saw the artwork (and the term "sexual content"), I wish-listed this game and bought it the moment it went on sale.

Well, it's not a bad game. The story made my laugh-out-loud a few times, and the art (again) is really awesome. In regards to art direction, this game sets itself apart. "Generic anime" doesn't usually attract me. But, there isn't a whole lot of art. The characters don't make any new poses during dialogue. There's no animation (other than some images being dragged around the screen). The facial expressions were cute though. The sex-scenes were brief, but fully-uncensored and nicely drawn.

Oh yeah, and characters. Actually, they were hardly developed. There's a few plot twists regarding them, but the game will be over before you know it. I guess to be fair, considering the length of this game (one hour) and the number of characters (about six), that only leaves about ten minutes per person. Oh wait, I finished this game in forty-five minutes, not one hour.

Make that seven-and-a-half minutes. If I mathed-that right.

Ah! The story. You're some (boy) kid that plays lots and lots of video-games. He has no friends, and frankly, he's a loser. He sounds a lot like me. Then again, he also sounds like a generic protagonist. He has a game called "The Legend of Arcadieu", which immediately breaks his PC. Thankfully, he knows an incantation from an online forum he frequents. A few key strokes and latin incantations later, he's in the game!

As in, actually in the game.

He has to figure his way out of the game, and back into the real world. You will have to interact with NPCs and battle (or uh, ahem) them. I mean, that's all there is to this game. There's two endings. Wait, three. There's a generic bad ending, and there's two "good" endings. Whether or not you consider one of those "good" endings to be really good is up to you. But it does include the biggest sex-scene. Just saying. There's a couple decisions you will have to make through-out the game, which affect your ending.

And I mean a couple]. With the "skip" button, you can finish this game in under five minutes. This is great for quickly unlocking unseen cutscenes.

The story is generic, but it's a solid premise for a saucy adventure. There was a lot of missed opportunities, but I did enjoy the times when the protagonists "gamer-talk" and knowledge conflicted with the in-game world. But the world is very linear. As a matter of fact, you can't stray from the main story, ever. You don't explore, just go where the game says you go. That's fine and all, but it hurts the replay value of this game. The only reason I kept playing was to unlock the full gallery.

I did buy this game on the premise of art after all.

Again, this isn't that bad of a game. Is it good? Not really, it needed to be longer, and more fleshy. I would of liked to do more exploration, or learn more about the world and what-not. The game totally bugged out on me, making me unable to complete it normally. I don't know what I did, but at least I got all (but one) of the gallery unlocked. My biggest gripe by-far with this game is the price.

I know artwork is pricey, and so is game developing. But this game isn't worth six USD to me. I payed about 4 USD, and I don't think I really got my money's worth. I think that this title would be more reasonably priced at two or three USD. I would not pay full price for this game, and if I were you (the reader) I would wait to buy this game until it goes on sale.

Short game, too expensive, meh-game-play, crap world-building, awesome art. That's what I gotta say.

Do you like RPGs and mildly erotic monster girls? Well then this game should be on your radar. It's a beautiful RPG full of wonderful sprites and non-stop animation. The scenery is pretty. Really pretty. The maps themselves are full of life, and everyone and everything is visually stimulating. As an artist, this game gives me creative brain-gasms. You'll explore bitty-towns, forests, swamps, and even the deep sea.

How you breath under the sea without so much as "magic" is anyone's guess. I guess I'm wrong to assume you breath at all.

The enemies are great. You'll face off against loads of cutesy (and sometimes sexy) monster girls. A lot of their animations are. . . titillating. Stimulating? I mean, you end up being smothered by thick thighs, beneath big clay-breasts and inside fleshy orifices. Need I say more? The bosses in this game are really, really saucy. Borderline nude. Very bouncy, if you know what I mean.

If you're looking for an "erotic" experience, well this isn't your game. There's mildly erotic images, but if you're looking for something pornographic, you'd best look elsewhere. Try a Sakura title.

This game is full of jokes. I would love to go off on a rant, but I feel as though that would be doing a disservice to your experience. I found myself chuckling here and there at unexpected moments. From character interactions to item descriptions, you'd have to see it to know what I mean. I guess it would suffice to say that the game has personality.

Oh, I probably haven't said much in regards to game-play. Well, it's an RPG. Crap, I said that already didn't I? You have to manage your HP and items carefully. Your gear wears down, just as you do. You will need to find and purchase repair kits to keep your items in working order. When you start off, expect to micro-manage your (very small) backpack and break some items. By the end of the game, you will have the best gear and more repair kits than you know what to do with.

I found myself throwing those darn things away.

I think the story involves you saving the world or somethin'. The world is getting hotter and hotter, and it's causing problems. Basically, global climate change. Big deal, right? But why it's happening how you save the world are outright stupid. And it's awesome.

But the game. Buy it full price. I didn't, but after my experience, I would. For ten USD, it's a great deal. I've played this game for about ten hours, and I haven't even finished every dungeon. I've beaten the game once, and the last boss a few times. There's plenty of collectables to find, and in-game achievements too. Again, this is a great mildly-lewd RPG that's worth a playthrough or two.

If you grab this game, quick advice. It's full of secrets. Secrets everywhere. Advancing means finding secret exits. Be ready for a hunt.

A pleasant surprise. First thing's first, yes this is another generic H-puzzle game. You have a board full of pieces, and you need to swip-swap 'em around to complete the picture. The pictures? Generic (though very attractive and well-drawn) anime girls. Upon completing a puzzle, you enter a rock-paper-scissors puzzle game. I don't think you can actually lose, but I have to say. . .

Strip-rock-paper-scissors is pretty fun, even if you can't actually lose.

The art is high-quality, and you can make it full-screen. I did experience a bug which forced me to redo the final puzzle, but it was no biggee. The interface works, and it looks nice. The art is really wonderful, and the "adult patch" installs without any hassle. Speaking of which, make sure you grab it from Steam.

No censorship. I was actually surprised to see all of the. . . bits in the detail they're in.

I purchased this game on sale. I'd say it's good enough to grab off-sale, for one USD. Heck, I'd say it's worth two USD. If you like generic H-puzzle games, want some quick H-related achievements, or just have a buck or two to burn, try this title out.

Censorship - Some images are censored, but there are uncensored versions in-game
Hours of Content - Probably a few hours. 10 minutes if you cheat.
Modding Support - None at all.
Sexual Content - Erotic poses and nudity.

Considering how cheap this game is (on sale, at least), if it looks remotely interesting, buy it. It's a another generic h-puzzle game. Nothing special. If you like those, add this title to your library. With that in mind, I'm going to talk about why I don't recommend this title.

There's other similarly-priced titles which offer better bang for your buck. This game will soak up nearly 100 MB on your PC. For that kind of storage, you'd be better off with lots of other things (like uh, games). To be fair, it does offer about eight images, each with three variations. But they are really small, and can't be enlarged. So eight low resolution images. There's a gallery, but you can't view every image, only eight (of the twenty-four). You have to replay stages to see those ones. Tedious.

Speaking of stages, there's literally an "auto-complete" button. It's cheap, and does what it says. If you bought this game for some quick anime "goodies" and don't want to work for them, well there's the "auto-complete" button. If that's what you plan on using, why not just hit up your preferred search engine? It'd be a lot cheaper.

Anyways, game-play. It's a puzzle game. Each picture is broken up into multiple fragments, based on difficulty setting. You have to swap them around to complete the picture and move on. There's a "Strip Mode" difficulty, which is the highest one available. The game is very, very punishing. If you make too many errors, it basically shuffles the pieces around and makes you retrace your steps.

When it happened the first time, I thought it was because the game lagged and it just bugged-out. After it happened again, I became too frustrated and cheated my way through. If this "feature" was to be removed, it would probably make for a better experience for players.

The game's cheap, I dunno. . . grab it if it goes on sale, play it for half-an-hour, give-up and let it stew in your library as a reminder of your poor life decisions.

Sexual Content - Erotic poses and nudity.

There isn't much substance here. Basically, you are trapped in a room with a woman named "Amy". You are able to interact with her, and exchange (very, very basic) dialogue. She only says a few words, with most of the sounds she makes being of shock and surprise. If you select the correct dialogue options, you will increase her affection for you. Once her affection reaches a certain threshold, you can make her your "girl friend". Once that happens, you will be able to access the "sexual content" of this title.

In terms of sexual content, you can make her strip, and tell her to enter one of two erotic positions. Her. . . lady bits become interactive, but the sounds and movement she makes are extremely repetitive. You can also deflate her breasts. . . I imagine it's supposed to be "squeezing", but uh, good effort?

She has a need to sleep and eat. Every so often, some guy will show up and drop off some food. Amy has a bunch of gauges, none of which are explained. I imagine one is for affection, food, water, sleep and happiness. . . though I'm not totally sure. Amy will feed herself and sleep on her own, so there's no need to worry about taking care of her. If you want to see her naked, you'll have to maintain a high affection meter though.

Amy will regularly send you on "fetch quests". She's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Somehow, she loses all of her possessions. It doesn't matter if you threw them across the room, if she's standing on them, or even if she just set them down. She will make you fetch her phone and food every minute. On the brighter side, it's an easy source of affection. If you throw her possessions on the floor, she won't be able to find them. Then, you can give them back for sweet, sweet affection.

There's also a mini-game you can play to increase your affection with her. Basicly, you stand behind a line and chuck balls at a never-ending series of untextured objects, while being timed. Every so often, a heart will show up, and you can hit it to increase your affection. I don't see what it has to do with the game, and I find it easier to steal her phone for her love.

I purchased this game on sale, for about 3 USD. I wouldn't buy this game for more than a dollar, and even still, I wouldn't recommend it. There's too little content, for too high a price. This game needed to spend a lot more time under development.
