I burst into my room and slammed the door behind me, my face red with rage. I was so, so angry at my parents and I had nothing that I could do. Powerless, I fell to my knees against my bed and I pressed my hands together to pray to him. "Joe Biden," I started, "please help me, free me from this abuse." That's all I said and, still miserable and wet with tears, I crawled into bed and quietly sobbed myself to sleep.
