Short:
Beat Saber is small and simple but offers huge heaps of entertainment value and replayability!
8 / 10

PROS:
- Hugely active, friendly and supportive community of modders and players alike.

- Quick and easy to access, navigate, etc. (Very short loading times, simplistic and easy to understand menu/options)

- Gameplay customisation and modifiers to allow players to ease in at their own pace, without score penalties - or turn on obstacles, walls, and more for a more intense challenge!

- Modding support (as previously mentioned) offering more for your gameplay experience.

- VERY FUN. VERY ADDICTIVE.

- Great workout! (Seriously, if you don't work up a sweat whilst playing this, you're playing it wrong!)

CONS:
- Generous but small amount of songs / paid DLC music packs can be pricey for some and can feel a little senseless to purchase since mods can offer more content without the need of purchase.

- Could do with more vanilla/base game customisation and/or content based upon what some of the mods can offer for the base gameplay experience. (For example content such as official custom sabers, or more gameplay modifiers. Maybe some kind of ingame milestone tracker or unlockables to give more goals and opportunities to players!)

Beat Saber sees players wield their VR controllers as they swing, slash, and slice beat blocks in time to the rhythm of a generous roster of music tracks.

Beat Saber comes with a roster of catchy songs for players to get started with, offering challenges and varying difficulties and modifiers to enhance and challenge players for the best score and workout. There are multiple music packs available to purchase to further expand players collections of tracks, however you can also play a huge array of custom tracks through user-made mods.

Beat Saber mods can offer a larger array of ways to play including custom player models, saber models, colours, stages, and much more. Setting up mods is fairly straight forward and doesn't require any advanced technical know-how and is strongly recommended by many players, however you can still enjoy the vanilla experience just as much.

It's hard to have anything bad to say for this VR title other than it could be even more through extra content, ways to play, etc but otherwise it's a fantastic and essential VR title to own that can be difficult to put down. You may find yourself saying "One more song" and the next thing you know, a whole extra hour has passed!

If you enjoy music and don't want to wait around in menus, stare at tutorials or waste time figuring out how things work, Beat Saber is fantastically simple, addictive with seemingly never-ending replayability. Beat Saber is small and simple but offers huge heaps of entertainment value!

YOU CAN RECREATE THE LOBBY SHOOTOUT SCENE FROM THE MATRIX IN SLO-MO.

Need I say anymore?

OK but for real, MAXIMUM Action is bloody brilliant!
Customise your very own action hero, name your very own movie studio and jump into a handful of 80's themed scenes where you'll "shoot" your very own 80's action masterpiece. Dive around corners, kick yourself off walls for momentum and blast a variety of bad-guys in slow motion. When you're done kicking, blasting, or detonating everyone in the scene - watch it back for a hilarious over the top mini action movie.

MAXIMUM Action is at heart, a passionate and "doesn't-take-itself-too-seriously" type of game, a love letter if you will to the classic 80's cheesy but unforgettable over the top action movies. It's addictive and super fun, a lot of replay value here with a plethora of classic and iconic 80's weapons to toy with, a good amount of scenes to "shoot", and also a whole heap of bonus modes including a scene from the amazing 'DUSK', a Matrix lobby shootout, and much much more. What's more, the community are already adding their own creations to the game in the form of even more chaotic weapons and maps via the Steam Workshop, thus it'll be hard for this game to grow dull anytime soon.

Did I mention there's also a map editor?? (Every FPS game needs one of these and I'm personally over the moon they've included one.)

C̶o̶n̶s̶ (that are so damn funny they're actually pros)
Pros:
-A little janky and buggy, but works perfectly in this games favour because it adds to the hilarity and is highly entertaining!
-Watching the movie back after clearing a scene sees your character practically flying through the level and will guarantee to leave you crying with laughter.
-HUGE variety of iconic 80's weapons! (M60's, Beretta's, RPG's, Shotguns, Uzi's, etc - more from the great community in the Workshop!)
-You can recreate the lobby shootout scene from the Matrix

[REVIEW CURRENTLY BASED UPON THE PREVIEW EPISODE AND NOT THE FULL GAME]

Ion Maiden came out of nowhere, I honestly had not seen anything leading up to its release! But a pleasant surprise it is!
For fans of classic Build Engine games, you may know them as such games as Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood - yes those classic violent and gory shooters from the 90's - will enjoy a fresh new game with traditional gratuitous violence and gore! Don your 'Loverboy' revolver and shoot up some cyber-punks in this gritty dystopian world - oh and throw some kickass one liners while your wrecking havoc!

Ion Maiden offers everything the classic 90's shooters did best and keeps it as good as them. Ion Maiden can easily be up there with the greats and its already stole my heart with its retro feel and fantastic gameplay.

Level design is superb! Huge and highly detailed levels riddled with secrets and enemies and offers a mix of close quarters and big open spaces. The smallest details really add to the experience, one instance had me staring at a condom machine in a public toilet because I noticed "Who wants some Wang?" Written on it, suffice to say I chuckled.

Sprites in this game are probably some of the most polished I've seen, however Ion Maiden has been developed and brought out in 2018 so refining the whole experience is most likely an easier task - ANYWAY, the weapon sprites look brilliant and feel great in hand. Enemy sprites looked mediocre for the most part but I didn't spend a lot of time staring at them as I did gunning them down, blowing them to smithereens, or beating the !@#£ out of them with an electrified police baton! Oh yeah speaking of guns, Ion Maiden offers a sweet array of weapons to plough through the preview episode with. You'll start off with said electrified police baton and a whopping big revolver called the 'Loverboy'. Eventually you'll find a beefy looking shotgun that packs a punch, the SMG-9000, and these awesome little homing grenade bombs to decimate your enemies with. That isn't even the entire roster, towards the end of the preview campaign you'll pick up a massive chaingun (sadly the campaign came to an end before I could fire the beast - what a tease!) My only issue with the weapons is that they require reloading which can be done manually or automatically, however this is only a minor annoyance and doesn't effect gameplay drastically.

The enemy AI isn't perfect, a couple of times did I catch enemies wandering off into the distance or trying to force their body through a wall, but who cares - as long as you got the gun, it's all about havin' fun! Secrets are plastered around every nook and cranny, one instance had me doing a series of risky jumps to obtain a shotgun which I really enjoyed personally.

I personally look forward for the full release of Ion Maiden, I had an absaloute blast and I've been returning to it and rerunning the levels to find more secrets each time. I recommend this to fans of classic 90's shooters, fans of the Build Engine, and FPS fans in general. You will NOT be dissapointed by this title, we can only look forward to when the full product is released!

Utterly dreadful.

This is gonna be more of a personal review than a general one. Let me start with saying that I had seen many many reviews about this game, a lot of them were negative some of them where OK but not reassuring. I'm a big fan of WWII shooters and despite the negative criticism towards Enemy Front, I wanted to give it a shot regardless. (You know sometimes we find some bad shooters and secretly enjoy them a little). Oh boy was I wrong on this one. So very wrong. I really wanted to enjoy Enemy Front, even if it was just a quick blast through the game and uninstall never to look back on, that would have been fine for me, considering I picked this game up during a sale for about 3$.

First impressions where not good. The game starts off with an incredibly boring and derivative setup. You're some kind of journalist-type who's in the midst of the world war, writing about the brave and strong people who fought and stood up to the Nazi oppression. I'll give it credit for being a little different and original, but the setup is easily forgettable moments after it's shown and isn't gripping enough to give a care in the world for.

The gameplay felt solid but clunky sometimes. I was given the opportunity very soon into the game to decide to take on an area with patrolling nazis either via stealth or by going loud and firing upon them. I decided to try the stealth approach. I was spotted magically around a corner of a wall, past a stack of crates, a bush and a doorway. Yup. The AI, to say the very least, is damn right dreadful. Stealth is not viable in Enemy Front and doesn't really work that well. Stealth takedowns are time consuming and quite frankly by the time you've hit your melee button you feel a sense of dread as you wait for a near 8 second long animation to play (doesn't sound like a lot but you sit there and count it and believe me you'll understand why it's annoying).
The gunplay is typically boring, each gun feels more or less the same, the only difference mainly being the fire-rate. The sound design is generic and poor quality. And the voice acting... my god, don't even get me started. Genuinely some of the worst voice acting I have ever experienced. (Resident Evil 1 and House of the Dead where memorable for having bad voice acting but this is just sad.)

I genuinely wanted to get some enjoyment out of this game, I really did. I wasn't expecting Enemy Front to be an amazing triple A product but I can honestly promise anyone interested - it is not worth the money and not even on sale. I picked Enemy Front up for 3$ and I've never requested a refund so quick in my life.

Enemy Front is a uninspiring, boring, dull, painstakinly abysmal shooter that offers nothing new or innovative. Play something better like the original Call of Duty games or Wolfenstein for a greater WWII game.

2/10

TLDR Review:
Prey is a fantastic game to emerge in our current gaming generation, a unique and thrilling game full of plentiful and fun things to keep you going to the very end (and then some!). Whilst sometimes confusing and untasteful, Prey tells a solid story that keeps you guessing and heading toward new goals. The combat system is visceral and fun, yielding a creative arsenal you can combine alien powers with advanced technological weapons and standard issue firepower to create a reckoning force against the threatening Typhon aliens. The incredibly talented Mick Gordon boasts yet another incredible soundtrack that creates a seriously eerie and unnerving atmosphere of Talos 1, immersing you in the experience the whole time.

9.5/10 – Great fun, loved every minute of it and I’m honestly so happy with my purchase! Arkane polished this game up real good!

Detailed Review:

Personal Thoughts:
Personally I held a huge amount of hope and was very much hyped for Prey, despite seeing and hearing an overwhelming backlash from the gaming community about Arkane Studio's newest game. The first and most important(ly obvious) point to make is that no – this is not Human Head Studio’s sequel to the original Prey, nor does it have any ties to the original game. This is a fresh and brand new IP that shares the same name. With that being said, forget any connections to the old game or its unreleased sequel.

Throughout Prey, you’ll be facing all kinds of gameplay mechanics. One method of play might be stealth, which is advisable for the earlier stages of the game so you can conserve ammo and important items. You can avoid conflict with the Typhon by sneaking past them, hiding in the shadows or behind objects and generally staying out of their line of sight. Later on you’ll be introduced to more weapons, items and powers that can help you utilize stealth to your full advantage. The Huntress Crossbow (a modified foam-dart toy gun) can be used to create a distraction and activate keypads from a distance, you can also use a variety of grenade-like gadgets such as the Typhon Lure to lure enemies toward it and give you space to move. Stealth isn’t always the case, and you may find you’ll get caught unexpectedly by an enemy and forced to kill it – sure you can run away from it, however Prey offers a unique and awesome variety of deadly weapons. At first, the combat can seem difficult and you might want to avoid it until you have a few upgrades to yourself and your gear, however if you combine your alien powers and weapons, you can make for some deadly combos. For example you can use combat focus to slow time down, switch out your GLOO Gun to freeze the enemy, then finally switch out to either a shotgun or a wrench and finish them off. The gameplay, whether it be the combat or navigating around the station, it’s all very creative and it’s without a doubt one of Prey’s best features and what makes the game so fun.

You’ll find many items in the in game world, most of them are junk – which can be recycled via these machines that turns the common items you find into useable crafting materials. Find a fabricator then you can build yourself all manner of useful goodies from the junk you recycle. You can make anything from anti-rad pills, health kits to actual weapons and their ammo. It’s a very useful and creative feature in the game that beats other overused features like a money or credit system, and Arkane did a nice job of it, however it can feel a bit tedious later on in the game where you’re using them constantly due to a lack of important items. Some areas later on get tougher and you’ll find that if you’re not careful, you’ll use up your goods like health kits or shotgun ammo and you can end up hunting desperately for materials to craft more ammo or items.

Pros:
• Great soundtrack – whilst Mick Gordon didn’t dish out the beefy head-banging tunes, but his music certainly sets the tone for the game!
• Creative and rewarding gameplay – so many ways to play how you want. You can access many areas through a variety of different paths, airs vents, elevators, grav, shafts even flying around the exterior of the space station! Useful items, destructive weapons and awesome alien powers that can be combined and used effectively against your enemies!
• Good length – Prey isn’t too long but also isn’t one of those games you’ll complete in a couple of hours. There’s a fair amount of missions, a bit of back tracking, and a tasteful story that’ll keep players going, not to mention there’s always different possibilities with additional playthrough!
• Decent compatibility – Game runs great on some old tech up to the newest and high end wear. Prey is well optimized and runs a treat, whilst maintaining good graphics and a steady frame rate.
• Whilst Prey only gives a slight vibe to Bioshock, the game harks back to a classic masterpiece in gaming culture – System Shock! If you’re a fan of the originals, you’ll definitely love this!

Cons:
• Gameplay can get a little repetitive from time to time.
• Crafting can be a difficult process, especially when you need gear and you can’t always get your hands on the appropriate ingredients or find the machines to recycle/fabricate.
• Talos 1 is overwhelmingly big at first and can put some players off – it’s easy to get lost when you’re new to the game, but within time you can gradually learn the layout.
• Weapons and items can feel a little underwhelming and weak near the first half of the game – be sure to upgrade them, they’ll start to hit like a truck later on!
• Backtracking can be a pain, so make sure you remember locations and get used to the game as best you can
• Prey gets way too much slack than it should. People need to get over the fact that Human Head’s Prey 2 won’t be happening. It’s 2017 and we just need some good games once in a while and not the same annual release copy that we know and expect and get bored with. Seriously, some people really need to give this game a chance because it’s some of the best fun I’ve had in years and is honestly worth your buck if your enjoy games like this and put the time into it.

Whilst Prey isn’t exactly 10/10 outstanding with graphics, the game does look good and the game itself runs smoothly – in fact it’s better optimized than Dishonored 2! Visually the game looks good, the lighting is perfect, the art style is bold, and nothing on screen will look too out of place at any time. The sound design is fantastic, the guns sounds beefy and impactful, there’s lots of high tech blips and beeps going off that help give you immersion to this awesome but scary world that Prey delivers. The soundtrack is one of the creepiest and unnerving you’ll hear in a while, and gives off a perfect atmosphere to the game.

A solid 9.5/10 experience! There was so much to do in this game, not too much, not too little, the length and pacing of the game felt perfect, spending more than 20 hours on my first playthrough! Highly recommended for psychological horror fans and games reminiscent of Bioshock and System Shock. This is easily my best game of 2017 and I loved every moment of the game. It kept me guessing, thinking and playing onwards, I spent a solid 17 hours one day playing it nonstop because I was so invested and gripped by it.

Neighbours from Hell is a classic point and click comedy game inwhich you take the role of a vengeful neighbour looking to get his own back against his vulgar neighbour who lives next door to him.

Neighbours from Hell is a short and sweet game, if you want to pass the time without struggle or worry, with around 20 levels or so to keep you entertained.

The base of the game is to explore your neighbours house for items and such you can use to pull off traps and pranks against your unsuspecting neighbour who fall right into them, the more you do this, the more his rage bar fills and if you can hit the limit, he'll blow a fuse and have a mini breakdown! Do this constantly for a nice combo and earn a higher rating on every level. Later levels get significantly more challenging as you'll eventually utilize stealth in order to sneak past your neighbours howling pets and unlock more rooms of the house to deal more cruel tricks and traps. It's pretty much as simple as that, it's a slapstick comedy game inwhich you play as a good guy turned cruel as your humilate, torture and prank your horrible neighbour...

Now if only I could do this in real life against my vile neighbour...

A classic and simple little game that I'd rate a solid 4/10.

In its currently released state, Bioshock Remastered (also containing Bioshock 2 Remastered) is suffering with a lot of issues.

The remaster essentially is a overhauled improvement on graphics, support and adds a few nifty little extras to explore such as the Orphaned Concept Museum, directors commentary or even the newly featured challenge rooms.

However the remaster is suffering from some te♥♥♥♥♥al issues, more so than most - crashes. Tweaking the settings, running into certain scripted events or simply checking the menu too much can all result in random crash occurances. (Personally I've not encountered many other issues other than crashes)

So before you consider buying or wanting to dive back into the world of Rapture, I'd suggest waiting a little bit until some patches come out or until the issues are resolved. Either that or play the original game if you own it or find it cheap enough. Otherwise, Bioshock Remastered is a beautiful refresh into the brilliant horror FPS set in the underwater world, riddled with mystery and chaos but is setback by its technical issues.

DOOM: Unto The Evil is a premium DLC pack that aims to bring extra content to the not so well recieved Multiplayer mode of the critically acclaimed DOOM.

[Short review:]
Unto The Evil brings 3 beautiful new maps that are fun to further extend the multiplayer space, and the new playable demon is incredibly fun to wreck havoc with. The addition of the new UAC EMG pistol is dissapointing and very weak, alongside the Kinetic Mine gadget. Futhermore the customization items are cool to own if you enjoy the character customization in DOOM's multiplayer.

[Long Review]
Unto The Evil essentially adds 3 brand new maps, one "new" weapon, a new gadget, new playable Demon as well as new character customization items. Is it worth it's price tag?

No.

Unto The Evil's 3 new maps are gorgeous and very well detailed, they're so much better in terms of presentation and detail and make the base game's maps look like they were half-baked. The sheer quality of the dlc maps is so vastly impressive compared to the normal maps and honestly would seriously make for some amazing single player DLC levels.

The maps include:
-Cataclysm, an unique map that's set on an orbital station with a cracked planet outside in view, around the map you'll find a gateway to a small Hell segment where you can witness demonic temples with wormholes jetting from the tops and flying shadow beasts swarming above.

-Ritual, a map set in the freezing polar cap of Mars in some kind of station that houses a giant demonic worm statue that seems to be part of some eery UAC-gone-wrong experiments, fusing an ancient demon statue with UAC infrastructure.

-Offering, brings back the denzins homeworld of Hell featuring a large temple like area with outdoor areas loitered with platforms that promote verticalilty, detailed with ritualistic events and objects around the map.

Unto The Evil also brings a brand new playable Demon, which is damn right awesome! The Harvester is a mid-paced demon that floats around, with its primary attack shooting lighting from it's claws. When this attack hits, your charge a secondary attack, once fully charged, unleash powerful orbs that scatter from you and decimate all that stand in its way.

As well the new Demon, there is also a "brand new" gun. I say "brand new", it's nothing more than a reskin of the Single Player Campaign's pistol. You remember the lackluster laser pea-shooter at the start of the game you never used once obtaining the shotgun? Yeah that one. I have bad news for those excited for a new gun - it sucks. It has a moderately fast firing rate and the secondary charged shot seems to charge very quickly. It's very hard to actually kill anyone with it and you have to be a good shot or very lucky. It's a fun gimmick to use for a while but it gets stressful way too quickly. Achievment hunters will have a fun time earning the 5 kills achievement.

The rest of the content isn't much to look upon, the new customizations items include 3 brand new robot themed armour sets that are very cool to show off. The new colours are blended pearlescent paint jobs that look a little ghastly for most players tastes, followed by the patterns that aren't much to gaze upon. The customization is there for players who enjoy showing off their preferred looks and builds.

Finally there are a few new achievements centered around the use of all the new features, including taunting in the middle of a match, utilizing the new weapons, and more.

In conclusion Unto The Evil is a good attempt at bringing some quality content to DOOM's controversial multiplayer, however the price tag is overcharging for it's minimal quantity. DOOM's multiplayer is an already divided community and the DLC pack does not help to revive the troubled gamemode. Recommended to buy on sale or for those die-hard DOOM fans who will buy anything with the DOOM franchise painted on it.

5/10.

It's a load of sh!t. Quite literally. No, for real.

The aim of the game is to complete your 'to poo list' and achieve combos and high scores via pooping on people. These tasks are really easy to do and some require trick shots that insist on bouncing the poop at an angle to get it in the bin - Jesus Christ why am I reviewing this... I could be doing something better with my life but nope, I spent $0.89 on a game about pooping on people and play through it and unlock all the damn achievements for it...

I really need to re-evaluate my life...

There are 3 stages, city based levels which include New York, Beijing, and Paris. You must navigate your protaganists aim and poop at your targets in order to achieve objectives on your list, completing these in a variety of ways and earning combos. There's really not much to it, but its simplicity is fine.

I'd recommend this game to fans of the indie genre, it's a neat little title (even if that title is a bit cr@p...) at a miniscule price and offers around 20-30 minutes of game time, complete with very easy to obtain achievements. I'd recommend playing this game with a friend or if you're a gaming YouTuber who wants some humours content, definitely a title to grab for it's hilarity.

Verdict: 5/10 for being a very simple indie game that doesn't really offer a huge amount of content but scores extra points based on a completely different and weirdly unique idea, as well as it's dirty potty humour. So if you've got the time and money, dive right into this sh!tstorm :)
