No one can say what is or is not a real deck... that's highly obnoxious and arrogant of you.
it's made of cards, it's a real deck.

It's true I like Mill and Control better and sometimes dislike playing Aggro if I lose the tempo, but never I will say it's not a real deck.

Even playing against a new guy with 80 stock cards and making mistakes I'll show respect to him and his deck.

reminds me when I was playing L5R TCG and people would refuse to play my scorpion honor loss court deck.

Fast victory is a strategy in itself. And if your deck let's you win fast, congrats you built it well.

Bit getting of topic now isn't it :)

Originally, I was just complaining of people who can't accept a loss and spend the end game turn spamming the timer stop button to goad you into conceding on their behalf, while they obviously were going to lose (else they wouldnt be acting like ♥♥♥♥♥).

To be fair, rank is indeed worthless so in almost any situation, it's ok to concede, to make the most of your game time. but trying to make people concede to you by being annoying, that's weak.

I have been once or twice pitted against such decks. I usually consider them more as an anomaly that as a real annoyance (except when playing Mill, then of course 80 cards is annoying me evn more)

Please don't be a sore loser.

If you are mana screwed, and you feel like you would be wasting time, just concede.

If you find the match you play boring, and would rather try to fight an other deck, just concede

If you feel you lost already, and don't want to waste 2 turns for your opponent to finish you off, just concede.

but most of all, wathever the situation, if you know you are losing, please never, ever, ever start playing with the stop timer to ♥♥♥♥ off people and make them rage concede because you are a pain in the ♥♥♥.

I had someone early try to play that game, against my U/B zombie deck, and on what should be last turn, his board empty, mine got a half dozen zombies ready to finish him off, he started abusing the stop counter... 5-6 times in a row

there was a disconnection then, he got replaaced by AI and I could finally finish the game.

If you recognize you mate, please don't be a d**k.

and for all of you reading this, please don't be ♥♥♥♥♥. just concede if you are annoyed. I know that's what I do, because in the end, who cares about the rank in this game?

This is ridiculous folks.

I play a Tutelage deck, and while I enjoy playing it, I dont consider it's a sure win or that there is no stress ever. There is stress that my cards come right, that I get the tutelage in time for efficient mill, that I get my lands, or that I get burns in time to get rid of an aggro deck creatures.
People not changing their avatar or backgrund, or thinking that avatars and backgrounds give clues on your deck style.

It's supposed to be able to remove more than 2, it's not a bug

target opponent puts the top two cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. If they're both nonland cards that share a color, repeat this process.

I had a single Tutelage mill 6 creatures of the same color on an opponent.
The problem is not Tutelage IMO, it's the fact that lots of folks may put it in a non full mill focused deck because "wow, that's strong".

Tutelage should indeed be there only in a full mill deck, that plays fast. Nothing is more frustrating that facing a deck that has few U just to play it, because usually they are a bad strategy eck that makes game dragging.

I have a U/R deck based on milling, using tutelage and others of course, and some I win, some I lose. It's far from unbeatable.
Indeed, missed the little mouse Icon next to your name...:steamfacepalm:

It's not Java but Javascript, it's the programming language that replace Ruby in MV.

I'm not techy, but all the scripting folks seems to be excited as it also comes with no more hidden classes so it will expand the abilities of scripter to turn th engine on its head.

Point of waiting? better resolution, integrated side view battle system, new RTP, stronger scripting... and many more features that you can find out with a bit of Google Fu.

if you are looking for making a quick buck, don't wait, get ACE and make your game, make a quick buck with a sub par game and dont ask me for support as I can't stand people coming to RPG maker looking to make a quick buck and flooding Greenlight with pieces of Crap.

If you are looking to learn game developpement and make a good game, get ACE if you can afford it or ACE LITE if you can't (it's free, but for hobby only, no commercial license with ACE LITE), make a first amateur game, join the community, get feedback and participate.

Then if you like using a maker, buy MV when it comes out, and use the experience gained to make a commercial game that could be multiplatform.

You might even realize that you are satisfied enough with Ace, and stick to it to release at a later stage a commercial game, but for windows only.
There will not be backwards compatibility, there has never been from one maker to another.

MV should pop up in couple of months, so take that time to do all your research and world building in the meantime.

Also, be aware that when it will come out, MV will not have as many scripts available as VX Ace may have at the moment.

As for profit...
well we all dream of that.

So far, I'm not convinced with the color scheme or wathever texture filter you applied to the RTP.

Now, I know there's a "disclaimer" that we should not step of the path at first, but I stepped of the road without really paying attention, boom, battle with a knight and 2 spiders few levels above me...

This is a little design flaw to me. you should try to use Regions to set up ennemy that can be fought from level 1 in the starting area, else it's artificial difficulty.

Just because of that, you should also add a possibility to skip the text intro :). also white font on quasi white background makes it a little unpleasant to the eyes. (also, few grammar and typo errors here and there. noting mood breaking yet noticeable enough, for example "Key Itens" in the items menu)

on the maps, am I right to assume that none of the little village is interaative and they are all there purely for cosmetic reasons? if yes, that's sad. why so many?, it does not really give the impression that it's a real world, if it was the intent. Even though you say you dont want conversations, that would have been opportunity to have elders of the village give you some kill quests or access shops. (a la Mount and Blade)

Now, after few fights triggered by a single knight icon where I met only a single knight, I tried to go an Inn, and boom, out of nowhere, the knights are now 4... you need to give player cues to prepare them for these kind of happenings.

Of course I had not saved after each battle (fought 2 and was barely LV3, after 8-10 minutes in game, why save?), so back to square 1, load a new game and back to that unskipable intro...

Actually no, I wont go back I think...

further advice: are you actually using all RTP? I suppose not, so I would advise clean up and make the whole game smaller.

also, if I read correctly, whole game is free, but if I wanted (if...) to fight last boss and see last scene I would have to pay...? That's cheap design.

In topic Battle Systems?
Long story short: you will need to use scripts.

Now you are off to a lot of research either on these forums or on google.

the stickies in General Discussions would be your starting point, enjoy the journey.

In topic Retain TPs after batle

Problem no 1 > this is the community creation discussion, so wrong place, you should post next time in the General discussion, or eventually tech support.

Problem no 2 > You should explore all built in options before trying to find a script to do what you want.
There is already a built in features tabs (in Features, in Actor or Class properties).

tab other > Special flag > select preserve TP.

The built in help file (Key F1) shoud be your first stop for qestions:
if you typed in the keywords "retain TP" the page on feature setting would have popped up in result, saving you time.

(also I believe a quick Google fu would have helped too)

Marquis is the male form of the Title. Marquise the female form.

Luna Manual french Translation on RPG maker web forums (where I go with Same alias).

Still dont know if you are a dude or dudette, but for me it would make no difference anyway.

Name of the dude is Marquis, not Marquise.

Historically, this was a title given to the nobles keeping guard of the marches of the kingdom. also see, Margrave.
