Early Access Review
This is not an extensive review but my thoughts after 8 hours in-game (okay let’s be real, a couple of those hours were waiting to get into the game). But once in, damn it was fun. Gorgeous environments, combat feels good and the animations and magic effects are beautiful to look at.

I played with a friend and once in it was easy to join up and loading into areas was seamless and quick.

I supported GGG way back in 2013 when they launched the first game through their website. I have to admit I never stuck with POE over the years. When I heard the hype for this one I was intrigued and when I dusted off my very old account my donator items from years ago were still there, including my stash tabs (which moved over to this game)! Now that was beyond impressive. Hats off to GGG. Any other company would have deleted my old account and made me buy those tabs again. So the devs had my respect and support once again.

And this game, it is my game of the year. And I have never said that about an early access game before. Yes there are some server disconnects but putting that aside and once in game, it just feels so fun.

So these are my thoughts, as a few friends have asked me about what I think of it. Judging by how many people turned out to support the devs in early access and the attention it is getting, a lot of other exiles are ending their year on a high note with this game. ⚔️

POE 2 fixes everything I didn't like about POE 1. My favorite game of the year.

@Doc I know, I'm impressed beyond words. And all mtx are cosmetic besides stash tabs in game. Even the pets are just for show. And making it eventually free to play next year is also amazing. Some great devs who care about their game and community.

I'm kind of astonished that they didn't delete your old account too Amjara. Hearing about that makes me wanna support these guys too. I may just do so.

Thank you, Olga! That is good news indeed. I'm very interested, so once I finish Star Wars Outlaws I'll probably give this a try.

@FroBodine this game is more forgiving in re-specs than the first one I've been told. I am just winging it and trying out different classes and builds. I don't follow any guides (at least not at the moment).

I guess if your a hardcore gamer who builds for endgame than it might get that way (it can be that way in end game in Diablo too). But I play for the campaign myself.

I wish that I could get into this game, but from everything I've read, you need to be a Mensa genius in order to correctly build your characters. And it you don't build them according to a tried and true blueprint, you will fail. That doesn't sound fun to me. That sounds like work.
