OOTP is getting better and better. More improvements over OOTP17 especially for the 3D game aspect where you can now watch players jumping, sliding, tackling which contribute to much more immersion with in addition more polished ballparks.
Locker room feelings are a nice new feature which can help you to understand that is going wrong in your team and drop off the culprit if need be.

Despite those nice additions, trading system still needs a complete overhaul since I have to give sometime 3, 4 or 5 players from my 40 man roster just to get a 4 stars player. That's pretty ridiculous!!! Hopefully you can also manage to complete fair trades. Succeeding to complete a one for one trade with 4 stars players...Contract negociation also requires a lot of improvements. By improving those two aspects, OOTP would become a nearly perfect sport management game for years to come.

The main drawback for this iteration is the injury rate that is insane...During my first season, I lost my complete 25 man roster due to diverse injuries that has ended me to manage a MLB prospects team. My Starting pitchers were injured during the first inning three games in a row...Pretty unrealistic. So I lost them for a 3 to 7 months duration.

Although OOTP is not perfect, it remains my favorite game every year and I will recommend it to everyone liking management game even if they know nothing about baseball. They will just learn by practicing OOTP...
