Misguided hate towards the calisto protocol.


This game is really interesting. There isn't any hand holding at all really. It expects you to figure out which way to go without waypoints,to figure out that glass is breakable to get to new areas and grab items,
to know to impale enemies on the wall, etc. Basically it's expecting you to problem solve and figure things out as if you were actually in these situations in real life
and I think it's a really bold approach to gameplay design considering how spoon-fed modern gamers are.I guess running and gunning is what game reviewers are looking for these days thas why i dont mind this clunky melee combat,
yeah i was mad at start aswell but i got used too it and perfected it the dodge is easy eather hold left or right movement key some times yeah they try to suprise u even with 3 combo before you can counter attack but you can yourself
later on with combo mix melee and gun or gun and go melee after u get tons diff combos goin on mixing up your style urself.Despite the performance issues, a somewhat clunky combat system.
I think The Callisto Protocol is a solid survival horror game a must play for survival horror fan with gorgeous graphics, great sound design atmosphere and plenty of tense/scary moments,
well scary for who and who not didnt get me that much only 1 jump scare kind of got me in the end.
Also the death animations are wonderfully brutal.
7 out of 10 for me would rated game littl bit higher if it wasnt for huge performance issues at start and the game mabe littl bit too linear i still belive there are in the colony area yeah too bad we got the crappy port,
and we still need optimizing for Ray tracing or for Nvidia users DLSS i gave up on RT for this title all tough i heard its unreal engines fault kind of also.I played all maxed 1440p
FSR2 Quality benchmark showed 92 avrage frames when actuly like half of the game it was 61-71 and other half 81-101 and colony area specialy when fireing for example for me skunk gun it dropped 45fps then Ray tracing off
probly could had refleactions on medium but that would dropped it all the way down to 30-50 and colony area probly like 15 fps xD
I too HOPE they sell well enough we get better much better sequel like happend with the evil within 2 game was like 5 times better than the first game.
Edit: i did have some anoying bugs aswell audio cutting happend like 2 times in a game subtitles not showing up time to time oh and yeah Manual Save should be MANUAL SAVE i dunno why that save option even exists dosent too nothing u still start from the checkpoint one
