TL;DR I was skeptical that Solitaire could be made into an interesting game that would hold my interest, but I'm delighted to have been proven wrong. I'm impressed with the amount of story they've managed to bake into the mechanics, and how slick the mechanics are.

The campaign's story is a fun, campy hacker/spy thriller; very silly, and very enjoyable. The real star of the show, though, are the different factions (i.e. suits of a deck). The powers of the face cards for each faction are all potent, but can and will screw you over; which feels very much like you're managing a fragile alliance where everyone is out to do things their way.
On top of that, each faction's backstory ties in to the power: where flashier factions have bombastic, obvious uses, and the more subtle factions have powers that look like pure downsides until you spend some time puzzling them out.

Short and sweet, the campaign took me about 2.5h to complete, and I had a lot of fun with it. As far as replayability goes, the time trials and skirmishes are fun, and I have a feeling I'll be going back to it occasionally out of fondness.

This game is just hilarious to play. It's a knockout battle royale. Plays great. Get involved.

Early Access Review
The game itself is very fun.

As it stands, the slow grind for crates is infuriating. Getting a slightly different pair of jeans, or duplicates in an already limited cosmetics pool sucks. The fact the dev has the gaul to dip into my wallet as part of that transaction after paying full price for the game is astounding.

I wouldn't buy the game knowing that cosmetics are going to be crate-and-key unlocks that you not only have to grind in game for, but also pay to unlock. At the moment the dev is offering free-unlock alternatives. If this changes, I'll no longer be playing this game.

I'm really enjoying the gameplay. For me, it's the perfect chill-out game, good for spending a few hours exploring a couple of planets and maybe warping on. Here, the impetous is on you to follow the the Atlas, or the centre of the universe, or go learn all you can about one of the NPC civs, or catalog a planet or whatever. I'm having fun choosing a short term goal, and have fun ambling about for a few hours at a time.

I think what this game suffers from most is overhyped expectations. If you're planing on grinding out objectives for marathon sessions, this game isn't going to live up to the hype. The variety isn't there to play it for that long.

Tech-wise, it's really resource hungry, and has the odd app-crash.
