@cragarion , Shadows over Riva is a long way from even being confirmed to be (re-)made ;). And thank you for your support, I just wanted to be clear on what this product is and what it isn't, and "just remade the graphics" just sounded so ... worthless. Anyways, as for your Riva soundtrack, youtube is your friend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXJ2VkuxfoA&list=PLFE3E19DAABD0101E - and I'm sure you'll find some kind of clip converter in order to get a digital version of those you can listen to without youtube as well ;)

@ Chris hi sorry i should have explained it better i was just simplifying it because i was in a hurry at the time,
i know it was not just updating the graphics, thats impossible for a start you have to rewrite the entire program for it to work on modern systems and operating programs,
i bought blades of destiny, when you remade that and i fully intend to buy this one as well ,
HOWEVER the one i am really looking forward to is Shadows Over Riva :), i still have the original boxed version, will you be releasing the sound track as well like the specail edition one, my disk got damaged and will no longer play :(.

I'd also like to add that we worked 2 years on this game, the Early Access was 9 months "only" ;). And no, for what we delivered and what we offer, we do not think that it is a "steep price tag". So, hope you find more time to play and maybe you like what you find despite of its "clunkyness".

I'd like to point out that we did *not* just "remake the graphics", we rebuilt the whole game from zero. Yes, we had lots of influence from the original since we wanted to be faithful, but there is so much more than in the original, to name a few: A modern user interface, minimaps, a questlog, people on the streets you can actually talk to, huge modding abilities and Steam Workshop integration, every dungeon was completely redesigned, one of them was even remade from scratch since the original ("Phextemple") was not only uncannonical in regards to the base material, it was simply bad, difficulty settings that let you deactivate lots of the "clunkyness" of the original (like micromanaging hunger, thirst, sickness or weapon wear and tear), a character designer that has more than 60 settings to adapt your character to your specific tastes and so on.

Not as clunky, either.

What cragarion said. Also, it just came out early access, so some issues and bugs are to be expected. Keep in mind that this is a product of a very small team (2-3 people i have been told). And it took them only 9 month.
Anyway. I do understand, since i had the same feeling for Blade of Destiny. That's why i didn't immediately jumped on Star Trail 1.0. I will wait a little longer and see if there are issues and bugs and if they release patches (which, i am sure, they will).
Once updates are out and the last kinks are out, i'll probably buy it, since i'm a big fan of the originals. Again, complaints like yours are exactly why i usually refrain from buying EA or day one stuff, because some disappointment is to be expected and can really put a dent in one's experience.

This game is a remake of the original game, just like they remade blade of destiny,
thats why its clanky as you call it, they have not made a new version of the game, they kept the game play the same and just updated the graphics.
